Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

"In Memory Of D'Drennan" by Unto Ashes. Their most modern Gothic-sounding song ever. Everything else they do sounds very Renaissance Fair-ready.

Now I'm listening to "Winterborn" by Unto Ashes. A song in their typical style. Not to be confused with the Cruxshadows song of the same name.

H.I.M - "Wings of a Butterfly".
I'm using it for an assignment and, after having heard it a couple hundred times in a row, I never, ever want to hear this song again.

Yep, Comeback Kid are pretty cool. If you like hardcore of that type, I would also recommend you have a listen to Go It Alone, who are from Vancouver.
Listening to Angora Static - Kalashnikov Retro
From their first 7". A really good Norwegian hardcore/screamo band, with rasping vocals relatively low in the mix, and driving, interesting songs. Good drummer, of course, both falling-down-stairs-rhythms and more straightforward punk stuff, and a properly grating blend of guitar dissonance and melody.
They have a new LP out now on Lilac Sky Records, who also have MP3s in the "50UND5"-section of their website. In case anyone's curious...
