I dunno, if you joined a catlovers forum, would you assume that you'd have to be a catlover?

Or is that too logical?

I said that very nicely. I even called you hunny. What was wrong with that?

Your point is invalid, slipknot666. You defend a nonexistent people. The ones you are trying to imitate care nothing for literature, and care nothing for being treated based solely on their actions or personality. To them, all that exists is the outside.

I know my goth subculture, okay? I don't care for the music. And I shop at Hot Topic; sue me. It doesn't make me another mall goth that comes on here and preaches about Manson and Slipknot.

Well, duh. If someone prefers R&B and dresses entirely in faded jeans and oversized T-shirts, why would we be calling that a goth?

What? treatment? They have only told you you're not a goth. You're the one that took it as an offense.

Again, if you acknowledge you're not a goth, then why get upset that people point at that?

Who said it was wrong? It's immature, sure, and cliche, and you've admitted as much yourself. So if you've admitted that, why are you upset when we say the same?

It doesn't conform to the group mentality, duh. After all, that's what any subculture's about.

I am not them. I am not every other mall goth. That is all I have to say.

I do not feel welcome on this board at all, and am seriously considering leaving.

Gosh, that's too bad. I had hoped you would have made at least one good point before leaving.

Welcome is so overdone. I thought our posts were much more creative and constructive.

I think he is gone.. I would like to add that I think this was handled badly. I have seen many of you say "welcome" to members that put the "right" answers. And just so you guys know, I used to be like him. Yes, I outgrew that music, but.. you guys wouldn't treat me like that, right?

I was being perfectly cordial in my disagreement. Truthfully, Korinna, I didn't see any attacks until he grew overly defensive and began contradicting himself.

He wasn't real anyway. That kind of person just doesn't exist. Far too little typos, you know.

Mags first comment was sarcastic, and he had only said "excuse me" at that point.. sarcasm is no way to greet new members, contradictory or not.
