Well, the reason he's gone is because you idiots chased him away. I mean, the kid actually knew who Keats was! Do you have any idea how RARE that is for a 9th grader? The grammar was decent, same with spelling. Also, he knew who he was, and wasn't going to change because of anyone.
Not to mention that the kid knew who Peter Murphy and Andrew Eldritch were, therefore proving he wasn't ignorant of the culture, just that he chose not to participate in it. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, but you made it sound like there was. This is a literary site, and I know that I have, myself, attacked people for claiming to be Goth when their interests clearly showed otherwise, but this kid didn't even make such a claim. He was here for the literature thread, and you chased him away. You.. fucking.. idiots.. chased.. him.. AWAY.
To be honest, after all of this, I have more respect for the kid than I do for any of you.
(Note: This is addressing everyone that attacked the kid.)

I'm sorry, when you quoted me and said "you" I just logically assumed you meant me. Not that it's a huge deal, but you may want to watch that in the future in order to prevent confusion.

My main problem is with Maggot. I used "you guys" because there are others whose behavior was out of line, and I wasn't going to go back and name each and everyone one of them off. I'll admit that it was laziness on my part.
And the first words you said to the poster were, "You'll grow up. I promise". One could consider that an attack. It was sure as hell meant as an insult.

It wasn't an attack. It was a statement based on my personal opinion. There were no expletives, no harsh language. Just a statement. I'm pretty sure that's still an ok thing, unless you'd like to censor everyone?

We're a subculture that's supposed to advocate tolerance, I can say that for sure. But, I have to say right now my tolerance has its limits. I respect the kid for not being afraid of showing who he is, but the mention of Slipknot just gave me a bad feeling about him. He could've been a mallgoth making a transition into a babybat, so if that's the case I'm sure he'll find his way around.
