The amount of money she will actually receive from buying one of her CD's won't pay for, well, anything.

Not really.

It'd be ironic if her name was Amy Straightedge...

I thought she was also pretty keen on the drink, but I may be wrong.

I think so.
Not sure.

I haven't heard much about her recently.

What is the latest news?

Most drug addicts are alcoholics as well, it's a down ward spiral.

That's a horrible generalisation.
I've met drug addicts that gave up drinking for drugs because they believe it's "better" for them.

That's so dumb!! Still so is "drug adiction" so I guess they are consistant.

She was. They caught her once out on the streets, drunk.
Often she would drink during her shows as well.
And has performed drunk a number of times.

Anyway, I hope she gets better and I really enjoy her music.

If I knew a big word that meant "Drunken Whore" I'd use it to describe her.

That is preposterous. I've worked in the line of production and sound manipulation. I have also seen her perform live. There is absolutely no hint of the use of an electronic harmonizer. Her voice is soulful and organic. As a vocalist I can also say that, 'no, not just anybody can sound like that'.

I would stick with your final thought of just being a jealous, bitter and ignorant radio listener. Turn off the radio and find a new pub.

I like her. But I think she sounds like a black chick. Not to say I don't like black chicks... it's just a black chick could do it better. Nevermind.

No! She isn't!
You're an idiot if you believe that going to rehab stops you from taking drugs.
You're an idiot if you believe she won't relapse.

You're an idiot if you say that a person needs to sort out their problems when they're in the institution specifically designated to the purpose of people sorting out their problems. Whether she'll relapse isn't the issue, the issue is people saying "She needs to clean her act up."

She's doing just that.

She is IN THE PROCESS.
I'm saying she needs to clean her act up. As in, it needs to have already happened.

Considering she's IN THE PROCESS, you have no reason to believe she's going to see it through to the end. However, we have lots of reasons to believe she won't see it through to the end, like the fact that she's tried and failed miserably before.

Anything else, smart ass?

I couldn't agree more! It's musical fast-food, written to be catchy and sell big...which it does, and it's cool that people are into that, but my tolerance for it is hideously low. Not saying it's "bad", it does what it's supposed to do quite well, it's just really not my style.

Her voice is in no way shape or form overproduced. People saying things like that are simply proving her natural talent.
