It would be counterproductive to throw away clothing an animal already died for their existence and never using them again.
I got my leather loafers and jacket at a thrift store. Like four bucks and thirty five bucks. Had I bought some new non-leather products, even environmentally friendly, the energy input for their manufacture is a bigger environmental impact than just buying hand-me-downs, leather or non-leather.

Since she's made the decision to convert, she's decided not to purchase any further leather items. But nothing she can do with the items she has now can undo what has been done to them. And I don't see any meaningful conflict between holding her new views and keeping these items. Some people would try to make an issue of what the leather items represent, but an mature person can separate damage done from future potential.
I can easily see why she would not part with them.

Not only that, but like Alan's situation, both things were bought for extraaa cheap. One on extreme clearance and one from a goodwill store.

Plus leather isn't green, throwing them out causes far more harm than keeping it until its no longer of use.

I love meat very much and it is an essential part of a balanced diet I would love to learn how to hunt, gut and skin animals, I enjoy knowing a variety of skills. I also want to become a good gardener so I can grow my own fruit, veggibles and herbs.

I cook up the fish I caught from the lake at the end of my street all the time.
As for the leather issue, definitely agree with keeping things that are still in good condition. I was a vegitarian when I got my first pair off docs. They were free... because they're a dead guy's shoes.

No one talk anymore. Let's all just appreciate this moment of stupidity above my post. It's quite breathtaking when you think about it.

Why in a cup? Is it not more "badass" drinking it straight from the carcass using one of those twirly straws?

You can't go wrong with crazy straws for drinking blood. I would think it would be more "badass" to drink it from the inside of the corpse. While wearing it. Over the counter meds have almost no effect on any kind of pain. At least asprin doesn't do crap anyways.

There is other meat that requires less "brutality."
