Literature Please come visit. People get upset, write poetry about it, and post it here. Sometimes we also talk about books.

Trust me, darlin' - you manage THAT, I'll sit at your feet. And kowtow.

Ophie - re: the poem, my reaction pretty much mirrors Kontan's. It's old, and while you're one of the few people on here who've written poems I actually like, it's been some time since I've been able to get interested in your stuff.

Ophie(can I call you Ophie?), no offense in any way is intended in my following post, and should you still manage to take offense, I apolagize in advance:

You have a lot of potential, you have the power of the word in a way I rarely ever see anymore. Moreso than I could ever dream of. I am no good at poetry myself as I have no life experiance to back it up at all.
However, this was rather dull. I saw it more as a flow of thoughts and words rather than actual poetry. It needs more focus.
Also, as Kons said, a new subject would be in order.
I liked parts of it, but I think you overdid your metaphors a bit.
All in all, I would give this 2½/5

Thank you for your comments.

Also, I don't care if anyone calls me Ophie.
It's used by various people here as both a term of endearment and in a condescending way, so it's not like it's an exclusive little nickname.
