Her books weren't spectacular, but honestly that's not what annoys me. What annoys me more than anything else is the crazy fanbase for books that are subpar at best.
The movie looks like it would be on the same level as the Horrorfest movies, thus it would probably amuse, but will probably get waaaaay too much hype for what it is.

I haven't read the books ... but just on the simple merit that I cannot walk into a bookstore without being smothered by this ... fiction ... will actually embolden me to boycott something that in all outward appearances seems merely to be filling the vaccum left by Anne Rice but it a very kitschy, High School Musical kind of way.
Am I way off here?
