They can do what the hell they want, and you don't have a saying in that. Ofcourse, too much oppressiveness and they lose their visitors but it hasn't come to that or we wouldn't be here posting.

My problem stems from the fact that both sites are continually dishonest. Gothic.net will not admit that it is BlueBlood.com’s bitch and BlueBlood.net postures as some sort of bastion of freedom for independent creative people when it allows ZERO criticism, slight-ridicule or light-sarcasm directed against itself or it's moderators.

You can say that it is their right to be dishonest and that is true. But then it is also my right to point it out when I care to do so.

I have often bitched about some functions on this site, I have never once had a post deleted. Not that I know of.
Therefore, I can say that I have not been subject to this "dishonest tyranny modding" of which you seem to whine. Keep it polite and sophisticated and they aren't likely to delete your posts on here. As for the OPs deleted threads or posts, I do not know which posts we are speaking of, so I cannot speak for those.
Besides, if you dislike the sites, why do you return?
The second you checked off the terms of agreement, you agreed that GNet owns your account and can delete posts or threads whenever they want. They openly stated this, so there is no dishonesty to speak of here.

Dunno. I’m particularly proud of 2nd Ed. Check out my treatise on why music from the last 10 years is typically inferior to the music of the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s & 90s.

I wouldn’t hold my breath on the current edition. There appears to be some dispute with the publishers.

Truth is I don’t really care. I can make an account on either forum, despite being banned, quickly and easily. Dumbing down my posts works as camouflage for the most part.

As for reading the guidelines. I don’t see it listed anywhere (even implicitly) that the criticism of another, presumably independent (lol) site is forbidden.

In any case, I have no fundamental problem with Gothic.net’s administrator. As has already been stated, the guy/girl is just a poor moderator with a penchant for banning and thread deletion but they make no attempt to disguise the fact or apologise for it. Blueblood on the other hand has no qualms about literally deleting your posts in a thread they made explicitly claiming that they never delete posts or ban members. Oh the irony. Delicious.
