I've heard a few of those. They think because they catch you when you're really going WTF?, in your head, that they won something.
Haha.. The stare was actually given because I wanted to hear his brainstorming idea of what Goth is.

Quote:
Haha, my dad was one of those.

"YOu aren't associating with those kids I saw on the news who do ecstacy and pretend to be vampires, are you?"
I said that dad thought it`s politics. I don`t think he saw the fashion.. He just read about "what Goth is"
No drugs or vampires here.. I don`t even think he knows what vampires are >.>

All I got from my dad was wistful looks at the leather jacket, all I got from my mum was :" some of your friends have really nicely coloured." hair. =D
How sweet ^^

I realize I`m not goth, not a fan of Goth rock.. I like to wear tons of chains.. spikes and studs and all.. When mom sees me dressing she gives me tips ^^ because she used to do that when she was my age ^^

Dad is meh in regards to our wardrobe.

Haha.
My mum taught me to sew and the suchlike, by assisting me with my tartan jeans.
I swear the highlight of my dad's life is when I ask him to help even out the back of my mohawk.
Or when I ask if he can help me out with a stencil.
My mum's lending me her sewing machine tonight so I can sew a Municipal waste patch onto my cap.

As far as family members and "Goth" go, my uncle is THE SHIT. He's.. 38? and been into punk and Goth music since he was a teen. Docs, black, plaid, piercings, spiky dyed hair, etc. He's also a photographer, very artsy.
He has Cure shirts that are older than me; I might be getting some if he can find 'em. XD

I didn't even know he was into the kind of music I like until I was listening to Sisters, he walked into my room, and was like "OH MY GOD, I USED TO DANCE TO THIS AT THE CLUBS" =D
I kinda wish he had gotten me into punk/Goth.. maybe I could have bypassed my mall-goth days.

He is. Him and Billy Connoly I'd say are my top favourites. Old Billy has really interesting and involved stories, and Ross is basically insane.

When my parental unit bought clothes for me many years ago, I'd go with her so she wouldn't buy something so totally, totally lame. Lamer than a one legged horse. That's when I went monochrome. (Went monochrome, LoL, sounds like I started swinging for the wrong team of the color spectrum. `Oh, no! The whites, grays, and blacks are coming!` Crazed woman shreiks `My baby! Where`s my baby?!` A hapless bystander screams`They`re climbing the castle!` the leader of the monochromes surveys the battle field `Onward! Leave no colour unsullied!`

I like a lot of comedians. It is difficult to pick one. Some that are closer to my style are Seth Green, David Spade, Chris Rock and so-on. It would be nice if Marlin Wayne did more, his brother is nice... eh.

That was interesting, but can he do that live by himself?

Best one man band I've ever seen is That 1 Guy. He plays an instrument he invented that he calls The Magic Pipe. Here's a couple of live performances worth taking a peek at:

Buttmachine (live)

Solea (live) with bridge to Black Sabbath's "Iron Man"

Interesting stuff there Ben.

I am grappling with a paralytic indecision worthy of Hamlet. Should I attempt to make Velveta Macaroni and Cheese by myself? On one hand, I may accidentally overcook the pasta, spill boiling water on my crotch, or break my stove. On the other, I won't be able to get a woman to make it for me before tomorrow at the earliest, and I am hungry now.

It all depends on the mix-ins and the type of pasta. Velveeta Rotini and Broccoli florets is worthy, but, alas, Velveeta Pasta Shells and Bacon Bits falls short.

I was too lazy to wash the blender, so I crushed some ice with a hammer to make myself a green apple snow cone. They call them shaved ice down here, but with all the variety of mismatched chunks and splinters that my hammering resulted in, shaved would be a wildly inaccurate adjective.

But it is soooooo tasty, none the less.

And smashing the ice with the hammer was physically satisfying, too.
