Dear, I know there are rules. But, failure to read the newbie post does not excuse the other rude posts I have seen Persephone make toward other members who were undeserving. I am a very critical person, and if I don't see why one is being harassed by another member, then I either missed something or there is something rather wrong going on. Before I took my three or four week leave I never witnessed a newbie being hounded for not filling out the questions first if they began with an intro. The only time newbies got flamed for it is if they continuously made posts elsewhere, and got asked numerous times to make an intro, but failed to do so. Otherwise, members would simply guide the newbie in the right direction and ask them to fill out the questions, but never did they receive persecution for their unintentional ignorance.

I am simply sick of the repetition. I am sick of people who don't take the time out to actually read what the hell is going on, before they decide to do something. I really don't mind if a newbie decides not to use the questions, but when they dont even TRY making an effort, it pisses me off!

I have no problem with newbies that ATTEMPT to abide by the simplest guidelines...

I have no problem with self-righteous elitism, so we'll get along just fine.
Seriously, though, it's nothing; I should've read more closely and is my mistake. I deserve her just, correct, and somewhat-mean-spirited, yet ultimately hollow, barbs.

Yeah! Another martial artist. I love Capoiera! (and of course Kung Fu). Anyway, *long drawn out pause* WELCOME!

Persephone: I really should have seen that, you're right. It would be pretty embarassing if I was capable of being embarassed.

I became a good dancer solely from Capoiera. <3
I have a good friend who's very into Kung Fu. I tried to go into it, but it really doesn't mix with Muay Boran in terms of art training. It pretty much goes against everything I'd been learning for ten years. Which was super confusing!

Count me in... I don't do Capoeira, but instead I have been doing Kendo for some years. Very different, but at least I can say I know how to wield a sword hahaha. I used to watch the capoeira students at school and always thought it looked awesome. I have always wanted to try it, I really would like to become that flexible some day.

I know some kendo, but I have been told I am scary with the double swords.

A few years ago, when I suppose I was woefully pretentious, I decided most weapons were pretentious and took up the sword-tonfas (like a sword cane, only with two blades and you hit with the blunt parts, too), and the Urumi as my choice weapons.
I don't know what I was thinking, but it's cool and unique now, and helps because people have no idea what to expect in sparring matches (although I can never use the even trippier Urumi since that's pretty much deadly however used).
