Colour co-ordination question

My mom bought me a strapless summer dress that's tie-dye, and I want to knit or crochet a shrug/short cardigan to wear with it for colder days/evenings. But what colour would match tie-die? Should I go with one of the colours in the dress or a neutral colour like white?

It really depends on the tie-dye. Any neutral should look fine, I have a tie-dyed dress that I usually pair with a white shrug, but if it has a lot of different colors in it then it could look really nice if you match the cardigan to one of the less prominent colors.

I'd wear it with white myself.

My question is too about colour co ordination so I'll stick it in here. Can I wear black with a mint green dress? I have green or black shoes that I can wear but only a black cardigan and black bag and I'm not sure if the black will go with the dress.

I think it would look good! I wear black with green all the time.
