Thanks, $chaDe. Now I know what I can wear to work. I can go as the evil Emperor.

Gothicus has already made many of the important points, but I enjoy the Halloween holiday the most because it is the one time of year you can dress up and pretend to be something you are not.
Whether it is evil emperors, or pirates, super heroes or ninjas, the potential for a great night for everyone is there.

I've always loved Halloween just because I love dressing up, but I haven't lived anywhere that celebrated it much since I was five (which was Balikpapan in Indonesia of all places, because of the community of Americans living there). Rather disappointing, I miss the bonfires and haunted houses and CANDY. Good times.
This year I've got the Bizarre Music Festival to go to on November 1st and 2nd, which'll be... bearable at parts, awesome at others. I'll probably be dressed up as my usual bone-and-fishnet-covered self, spinning a set of non-overplayed-tripe between bands.
Might go to a pirate themed club night on actual Halloween, not really sure though. I'll probably save my energy for the festival.

Awesome Cicero!
That sounds like a hell of a way to spend Halloween. I am going to a Halloween party, which should be fun once everyone has a few drinks.

I'm making two costumes (Nekocon isn't far away after all) but I haven't decided which one I'm going to wear for Halloween. One is a pretty simple Tinkerbell costume, though I do plan to do a bit of hand beading on both the neckline and bottom hem, and the other is Yori from Tron, which I want to do for both Halloween and Nekocon but I know I don't have time to make both before Halloween and I'm not sure if I have time for Yori costume even if I don't do Tink because I'm going to have to hand stitch all of those circuits to get them to look right.
Also every time I tell my friends that I'm making a Yori costume they get all confused when I explain how I plan to do the circuitry because apparently when I say Yori they think yuri because none of them have ever seen tron, it makes me kind of sad.

Solumina, I'm more partial to the original Tron (with Michael York) than the remake.

I'm confused, I didn't think that there was a version with Micheal York, the one I'm basing my costume on is the 1982 version with Jeff Bridges, Cindy Morgan, and Bruce Boxleitner (I was under the impression that was the original version)

Nexus-6, the best thing I can come up with in that case is get the 'fixings' and throw your own Halloween bash. Maybe you'll start something.

Jaye Jang, the way I'll make a joke, you'll make a joke in reply, then I'll in turn make a second joke, and this time in response you'll say "CHILL OUT I WAS KIDDING" is starting to get on my nerves.

Really? I always though gentlemen were the best, and usually people with good manners are more appreciated since they show respect as well, a thing that you obviusly lack and fact that you are even proud of it makes me sad.

The two best things in the world; gentlemen and not having the vote.

a) Halloween is like 25-something days away, and people are already talking about it? Wow.
b) It is a complete waste of time.

Dude, I start celebrating as soon as September hits, or as soon as I see the first piece of offical Halloween merch at the store! ^____^
BTW, most fun things could be viewed as 'complete wastes of time'. However, if we were nearby, I'd TOTALLY make you go Trick-or-Treating with me!!

Gentlemen are few and far between these days, just as true ladies are.
It's a sad, sad thing, and I wish there were more ladies and gents than there are. :/

I'll dress up as this gentleman creature you speak of. We will go trick-or-treating, but only if you promise to flash.
