Yay another newbie

Hello there Gothic.net

Brace yourself, for I have appeared wielding stupidity, bad jokes, large words, spelling errors, otakuness and trace amounts of intellect assuming you can manage to sift through the mountain of possible sarcasm that may or may not be present in my statements.

I am nerdy. Feel free to talk to me about nerdy things.

Though I can be an incredible jerk, I try to be as nice as possible. As long as you're willing to act like a sentient being and not an actual dumbass, I will be more than happy to strike up a conversation.

While I generally act rather silly, I can be serious when the situation calls for it.

And I also like art and what not.

Anyways, hello dere.

Hmmm, at least you admit to stupidity right from the start. Welcome, tell me more of this nerdiness you claim to be in possession of.

I thought it best to warn all of you fine folks in advance.

Whelp, I'm a major otaku, I game a fair amount, I play DnD (though I haven't in a while due to my usual DM being busy as hell), I often listen to videogame soundtracks, I still play with Lego's, I love fantasy novels, I enjoy both Star Wars and Star Trek, Firefly, etc.

I'm kind of a nerd mutt. I don't fit into one solid catagory.

Those who don't love Lego WILL BURN IN HELLFIRE.

Which Star Trek do you prefer? I'm a Next Gen girl myself. Only a fool and heathen doesn't love Picard.

Picard is my hero. I haven't watch Next Gen in the longest time. I miss his awesomeness as captain.

I've watched more of the original series, seeing as I own them on DVD.

The original series is awesome, in its own special way. Picard is badass though, utterly badass.

I will always prefer Picard to Kirk, no matter how much I adore him.

Kirk is.....an aquired taste. Brilliant to watch late at night when suffering with insomnia though.

I tend to watch the original Star Trek when I'm home sick. It's good for cheering one up. Kirk is indeed a taste I have acquired.

Now, on to the serious business, original Star Wars trilogy or the prequels?

Now, now, the real reason to watch the original series is not Kirk. It's Spock. Spock is the height of awesome.

You seem interesting.. I hope we'll be able to get to know each other because I'm a bit of a otaku myself although I am a bit obsessed with most of my interests I'm pretty laid back and open minded so feel free to talk to me about anything. ^.~

Also, yes Spock is quite a badass and quirky character that could make any show interesting.
