Tell me. Can a girl pull off that officer's cap & jacket look without looking like a dominatrix? I've always absolutely loved that style, but I have hips & boobs. :o In my credit, I do look pretty genderless.

When people look dominatrix-y wearing military style clothes it's because of the attitude, not the clothes themselves. If the style is done anything like the people in the pictures, and without the dominatrix attitude going on... it'll look just plain awesome. I say go for it.

(And also... Viona Art = my favourite website. Ever.)

Viona Art!! Lovely, lovely pictures.

It's like the saying, Don't judge a book by it's cover. If the person likes the style, they like the style.

Can you pull off the look without looking dominatrixy? Sure, why not? I mean, yeah, the military does have the stigma of being dominant (Full Metal Jacket, anyone? Your name is Gomer Pyle!), but I think you can wear it, and walk away with not being dominatrixy.
I like that word.
Dominatrixy.

Thank you for that, I went on a photo saving spree and now must try out make-up. And it is possible. Love the look, but don't have the money to pursue it.

It wouldn't do anything for me. Awesome pics though, I tend to like to blend into the crowd most days. If you like it, hey go for it.

Imagine being a prepp who decided to all of a sudden go on a goth clothing binge who then comes to class as a dominatrix. Somehow that just popped into mind when I read Mother's post.

Hey! Tehe.
Somedays I like to express myself. Other days I feel like a soccer Mum.

lol I am a sorta preppy dressor. With random slutty dark stuff. Which has mostly been confiscated by the Boy of my life. I don't have much of a clothing budget, but I have a auntie who did lots of things in her young life.
List of things given to me:

Black leather mini skirt
3 skin tight boob bearing mini dresses in black with white poka-dots, neon pink, and neon pink with black zebra stripes
Crazy black pants with silver decal that are silky and I can't stop petting myself in!!
Boob Vest of Doom in gold
Black raw silk shirt (mens)
2 chinese style dresses-antique, love, very flattering, hold breath in to fit
Big black jacket with "Helltown" in red embroidery flames 50's style

If you're looking for military caps, don't bother to buy online- go to your nearest military surplus store. you can get a lot of great things there, from ammo tins to use as makeup boxes or lunch tins, to various uniforms and headgear, to really practical boots and jackets- and it's usually really cheap because it's in the surplus.
