Dungeons and Dragons

I know, I'm a huge fucking nerd, but what can I say? Dungeons and Dragons is fun!

Does anyone here play Dungeons and Dragons or Other Role Play games? For instance I also play Shadowrun and Call of Cthulhu.

Yes, I do. The folks in our group have mentioned Shadowrun and Call of Cthulhu on numerous occasions. We've played DND 3.5 and 4.0, Chill, Traveller, Blood of Heroes and tried the Warhammer tabletop game.

We're currently playing a Steampunk themed campaign using D20 Modern and Past with a lot of house rules in play.

Cool. I've been wanting to play a Semi-Steampunk Campaign for a while. My group is planing on using Standard Dungeons and Dragons rules. But implementing some Rules for Bombs, Flintlock pistols, Vehicles Ect.

So it'll be set in Steampunk type place, But it'll have Elves, Dwarfs, Halflings, Gnomes and various Monsters.

I would venture that you did, since you you seem to be spiteful of that particular act.

You can believe whatever you like. I've been called several things in high school but people never got aggressive or violent with me. I'm not a frail nerd either mind you.

Dungeons and Dragons ain't my style. I stuck to Warhammer 40k for awhile. So damn expensive though. If I had extra money laying around these days I'd take a swing at Battlefleet Gothic.

My brother plays Warhammer 40k. Yeah...it's expensive, lol.

I've played it a few times as the Necrons and died...horribly.

And the worst part is my brother was playing as the orcs .

I have an interest in learning to play but the sheer mass of what it can be is somewhat daunting and off-putting, I don't have to be the guy who is spoon fed through a campaign or has to lean over to someone next to me and whisper questions, mostly 'cause I wouldn't want to annoy the group not because I'm embarrassed to be inexperienced.

I tried to play, but I just couldn't get into it; all the dice rolling and such confused me.

I prefer World of Warcraft, where I can just go online and kill virtual animals and people until I'm sick of it. ^__^
