A friend went to thier show last night in Philadelphia. I told him he didn't even have to go to the city to hear them because I could do the same thing. I proceeded to press a bunch of various remote and sterio buttons while cursing and then demand that he pay me.

I don't know about him, but I sure thought it was funny.

Gahah! I second Haunted. That group and plenty of other aggrotech acts are beyond overrated.
But really. I heard a few of their songs, not so good. At all.

I'm not asking you to respect them. As individuals, we all have different tastes in music, aesthetic, etc.

In re: to the 1000 posts, thanks.

Damn, oh well, my husband says I'm not allowed to go see them anyways. I have to stay here and make dinner.

Sometimes I really hate being married. I really wanted to see them, and I live less than two miles away from the club they are playing. *sigh*

If my significant other told me that I wasn't allowed to do something, I'd help him pack his bags.

chealseagirl, you have just blown my mind. No man will tell me what I can and can't do.

Edit: Why do you let him take charge like that? Would you suffer consequences for going? Sorry, I just don't understand.

Yeah, I'm just submissive by nature, but my husband is VERY demanding and dominant. I'm not allowed to ever argue with him. I wish it was different, but this is my third marriage, and I'm pretty stuck as he will kick me out if I don't do as he says, and I have nowhere to go. I just try to make the best of things.

He doesn't allow me to go to anything "goth" or "ebm" related, but I was hoping to find a friend to cover for me. Alas, no go.

That's not a very good position to be in. The situation does indeed sound rather unfortunate.
What good is a marriage if the other party regards you as a possesion rather than a companion, or better yet, a person?
Sorry. I apologize if I sound ignorant.

No, you are completely right. It's just that...I've been married three times, and every time, it's been EXACTLy the same, as far as the way I've been treated. I've gotten to the point where I just think...well...just make the best of things, because even if I get out and start over, it will end exactly the same way. My current mariage is by far better than the previous two, so I'm really trying to stick it out and hope that maybe he loosens up as he gets older or something.

Have you ever thought of just flying solo for a little while until you do manage to find someone that treats you like a human being? I feel bad for you. I really really do.

I wished I were at the show in Philadelphia. I enjoy Combichrist much, and think that some electronic acts do put plenty of energy into the show. Just because someone is standing there and mixing the music doesn't mean the singer (used lightly in this case) can't put on a hell of a show.

Andy is pretty good in that regard. I saw CC a few weeks ago and they put on a pretty good show.

Combichrist is one of my favorite EBM bands. Though the lyrics are REALLY gay, it's fun to listen to them and dance to them. Every time they play in Philly I always miss it though.

CombiChrist makes me wonder exactly where their ideas come from.

I mean, the intro to the 'Intruder Alert' song is cool and all... But for a whole minute of it? God, now that damned thing will be stuck in my head.

Other then that, I haven't really paid much attention to them.

Good band, but I prefer KMFDM. Listened to them for a long time.
