I don't know... I don't have much fashion experience but goth is about decadence and drama as far as fashion.. I think the tight black pants the emo kids wear are niether....

As far as my tastes.. well I'm a rivet head.. and dress like it <see myspace page>

Apple? Interesting. I dunno, I have adored skinny pants forever. It's one of the reasons I'm convinced I might have emo tendencies. I'm not really trying to look any way per se, just want to do what I like, so....I figure it's OK. That, and I'm not moping around or feeling sorry for myself all the time. (Anymore)

Punks like/liked (depending upon the era) the tight pants, too.

Oh, and rivethead, whatever, the combat pics are awesome!

Bravo, My friend. I agree about the gothy look of black baggy pants(but not too baggy). Let the emos keep their super tight black jeans.

My throat hurts.

haha. Mrs. Wes is right.

Well emo or punk. I'm stickin with the black skinny jeans. (they're great for when my gothy and normie clothes need to be washed!)

They're also perfect for fitting into my boots when I want to go for a nazi(ish) dominatrix look.

Forgive me ladies for the misunderstanding, but "emo bashing" was not my intention. I was stating that certain style of pants should be meant for certain groups or cultures.

As Mrs. Straker stated:"Yeah, sticking to our skinny jeans. Viva skinny jeans." that pretty much states her preference as I was stating the baggy black pants as mine and Art's.

The tight pants I think, are neutruel. Baggy pants ARE in Rivet-Head vein, so its disputed. I own some of those tall lip service pants, because I like how it makes me look less like a fat ass I love all goth styles as far as I'm concerned

I'll just wear a loose, straight leg or boot cut pant most days. But I do live in my baggy black cargos.

80s? yes

Comfy?- fuck yea. But that one's really a matter of preference.

I'm not sure how old you are, but I was born in the 80s so I idn't get to enjoy the trends associated with that decade. Call it- "catching up."

Mrs. Wes- VIVA LA SKINNY PANTS!!!!

lol

80s? Isn't that when goth attire launched? I think so. Linen, no offense, but when you say "been there done that"-were you IN the eighties with the skinny pants?

HAHA 80's fashion!
Let me see... Bermuda shorts and the alligator polo shorts... tube socks with the color stripes at the top... the comb over hairstyle for men <not to be confused with the balding combover style>.The safari look.. that was just hilarious.. Way way baggy parachute pants and mullets.... Puffy hair for both men and women.... god so many silly fashions... I hope we don't look back at today and think we were as dorky as the 80's.... lol

Those used to be IZOD/Lacoste. Now they are just Lacoste, and anyone who is anyone wears Lacoste.*

*Note the sarcasm. I had a Lacoste obsession for a while, until I realized it was A COMPLETE RIP-OFF! $72 for a tennis polo? Oh, the stupidity!

I think I still have an original Lacoste polo. Back before Lacoste became so big, trendy, and "high end"

Where'd you get your Lacoste from? It has been big, trendy and high-end forever. Well, except in the 90s when everyone forgot about it. But it was in the 80s and it is now.

I suppose I should have said before it became as insanely huge as it is today

I got mine in the 90s. It was originally purchased from some super low end shop like tj max or something for my friend's little brother, but then he got new clothes and my friend's mom was gonna throw it out so I asked if I could have it. Fit like a dream and called great attention to my chest as well. I hope I still have it

TJ Maxx??? That's hilarious. I'm pretty sure Emos love Lacoste, too. Especially vintage Lacoste. :-P

To add to that, except for your bondage pants I've never associated baggy trousers with Goth. Except for military type gear, maybe.

I have bondage pants, but they're more of the raver variety than goth. Oh wait! I do have one pair of gothy bondage pants. Go me! lol
