WTF, Texas GOP?!?!?

I was minding my own business, trying to have a good morning. When I was smacked in the eyes with this article. I thought it was pretty messed up, until I realized that this is just the tip of the iceberg for the Texas GOP platform.

There's a link to the rest of it, if you have the intestinal fortitude to actually read it. I barely did... I have to figure out how to get my blood pressure back down and my eyes to stop bleeding.

Fuck the Texas GOP, for they are truly ignorant, stupid assholes. No one should have go to prison for being gay or thinking being gay is ok.

As fucked up as all of that is I do want to point out that making it a crime for issuing a marriage license in a state where same sex marriage is not legal is not the same as making it a crime to perform a marriage ritual, as the marriage license is a legal document and one for a same sex couple would not be valid.

Man, even though that's just more of the same old same old, it still is fucking irritating as hell. But I notice they threw in that phrase saying marriage should be between a "natural man and a natural woman." I expect that's their hamfisted way of trying to exclude people who've had a sex change from getting married.

It is a fucking, damned backwards state. Between the fervor with which they execute the death penalty and the aggressive way they try to write bigotry and intolerance into their laws, there's not much god-like or Christian about the government or people of this state.

It still shocks me that in this day and age there is a large population of people who think its fine to stick their noses into the homes and bedrooms of other people. But we should get rid of social security because thats giving the government TOO much power!

Its the kind of people I want to throttle while screaming "Wake up!"

I don't think that the GOP is extreme enough. They're edging on ridiculous. We need to encourage them to be crazier so that the layman will identify them more easily for what they are. Nutcases.

Hey, I'm not denying that that wouldn't happen. But I'm willing to bet the people that would foam at the mouth to follow them that far couldn't be convinced they were wrong by diplomacy anyway.

Whatever. LGBT rights will be actualized in my lifetime anyway. So the ignorant bigots are just going to have to accept that.
