Thumbs down my hair

I considered getting a mohawk and my friends and family told me it would look really bad on me, I think my hair looks really dull like it is now, can you think of anything I can do to make my hair look more "striking".

here is some pics of my current hair:

This one is a bit blurry but you can still see my side parting.
Also if you guys cant help I am going to use some violet "got2b" on my hair.

Your hair is fine. Have you thought about styling it differently?

You don't have to just let it hang. Hell, my hair is similar to yours.

I prefer to tease the shit out of my hair with a comb by applying a slight layer of pomade over the teeth of it. Combine that with some hairspray and you can pull off some VERY dramatic things with your hair. I agree with your folks. But... fashion is about attitude and art. If a hawk would make you feel better as a person, then go with it.

But you look hot in yours.

tbh, I would recommend also trying to style it differently and if your still unsatisfied with it, then go for a hawk.

I think what he means by dramatic is that he creates his own styles.

Maybe I should just go with mohawk, but if so what length should I get it?

You're gonna look like a moron.

At least, in my opinion.

I think anyone under 14 looks like a moron with a mohawk. 14's pushing it.

Grow it long, and then when you're old enough to not look like some little snot, it'll probably look fine.

Than I highly doubt that that is classified as a hawk. It would be more of a type of long hair style.

I am not that clear on what kind of hawk I want, maybe I shall grow my hair and see how it works.

I can't very well hurt you overseas.

But seriously. I've seen little kids with mohawks. They look dumb.

I find mohawks to be rather unattractive on people..
I suggest slightly longer hair and a dye job.
But your choice, really.

Hair dye is your friend. And I agree with maggot, a mohawk wouldn't look good.

For any hair I just recommend to buzz or shave the sides and think creatively after that.

Hmm...

Yes, a hair coloring and a bit longer would actually do you some justice. Black and purple would be nice, actually. Or black with some kind of green/hazel colored streaks.

Also, I'd hate to say it, but 90% of those pics you showed of mohawks was on some real funky lookin' people. Sorry, guys... I didn't find any of them aesthetically pleasing at all. But the hawks kinda work for them.

TBH, you're actually TOO pretty looking to pull of a hawk without looking ridiculous and really, no offense, but I don't think you have the confidence to pull it off.

If I were you, I would work VERY hard on making yourself look the best that you can at all times. A hawk, unless you really know how to pull it off, just looks like a cop out to be edgy and rebellious in a quick minute.
