My clothes...

This is how I look when I'm put together in a gothic fashion.

What do you think?

Well, I love what I can see, but would prefer to have a front view in order to judge properly. [One can only tell so much from the backside.]

I guess I'm confused as to why you'd post your backside rather than your front here.......

Edit: I like the black & white pic best out of that series, but I think the pic of you in your ID suits you much much better. =)

Because I was trying to show more of the costume than anything. I'm going to blame my half asleep ways for that. I'm not trying to hide my face or anything- I just guess I didn't really think about it...

There, all better. ^_^

The only thing that stuck out for me was the bad eyeshadow job. Maybe use brushes made for the shadow, try brushing it on with pieces of paper to sharpen it like Siouxsie's or look at some kohl/liquid eyeliner? A nice dark lip stain would probably help too.

Clothes-wise, ditch the wannabe tribal belly dancer belt and try a more close fitting overbust and smoother plainer top in a fancier fabric. But if it's hot, go for a lighter fabric.

After awhile the makeup sorta died... I was in the costume for hours.

You're right, I do need a closer fitting corset since this one is a little big. But I wasn't wearing a belly dancing belt, unless you mean the skirt, I'm confused.

I really like that hair piece. Where did you get it?

Ren fair in Larkspur. It's guaranteed not to break. And if it does they will replace it for free for life.

It was....$30 something? I think?

I made the feather one.

That long? If you're an all day makeup junkie, I heard that Benefit came out with a sweet primer for the eyes that goes on as a cream and nice things about the primer from Urban Decay.

I thought that was a belt...But maybe a more strictly formal skirt would be in order.

Nahh, it's a bustled skirt. And I did buy a nicer, black velvet one but it didn't work quite right because it had slits that argued with me. >.>

The thing is I almost never wear makeup. So naturally I didn't have a lot to work with. No eye liner, no dark lipstick...hardly anything really. I was lucky I had the dark blue around. Face poly would have been awesome though. If I had the money to spend out of pocket I'd have probably gone and bought an entire facial wardrobe.
