I've just finished a freshly mixed cup of fake blood ...

... But am lost as to what exactly I'm going to do with it.

I want to take a photo with it, but not garrish or overly gorey. And as blood is quite a popular prop in photographs I don't want my picture to look like the same old "smears blood across face and gives look of anguish" ones.

So I've brainstormed and the various props I've thought about are my dust mask with a medical cross on it, scissors, syringe, wine glass, knife, goggles ....

Has anyone got any suggestions as to what I could do with my blood?

Use red lip liner as eye liner as you would use Kohl liner and have the fake blood drip from your eyes down to your cheeks.

Hmmmm... I like the idea of something medical. Something different from the usual suicide/anguished/lameolddeadperson photos you see all over myspazz.

The dust mask sounds cool. And the syringe. Definitely put some blood in the syringe.

And yes, I'd love to do something medically. Those bloody "goth" pictures are now just looking like an emo trying to be hardcore or something ;p

I'll just have fun with it and mess around with the blood :P But keep it tasteful of course :}

You could do tear drops down your face with it too. Get some vampire teeth and then use it too.

Smear the scissors with it and fill the wine glass. Get a friend to crumple up on the floor in the background. Or is that too gorey?

You could get a fake brain (I don't know where you'd get it) and put it on a plate covered in the blood and set the table up like a nice, high class restraunt.

You can get a sheep brain from the butcher. I don't think it costs much. In many Middle Eastern countries, sheep brain is considered a delicacy.

Actually, I was thinking about getting a lamb's heart and maybe tearing it apart or something.

Of course you can! I'm thinking of taking a picture like that myself. Except tieing my friend to something and putting multiple "slashes" on her arms/wrists, to make it appear as if she is my personal drinking fountain.

By the way, what is the recipe for fake blood?

Not just middle eastern countries. My dad used to have it in sandwiches with vegemite >_>

Anyway I think the brain idea should win. None of that suicide or vampire stuff... it's so overdone.
