Cyber Goggle Show-off thread!

Now, this isn't like all the other cyber goggles threads whic hseem to go along the lines of
'Where can I get Goggles?'
'Should I get goggles?'
'What kind of goggles should I get?'

As the title suggests, this is a thead for anyone who's customised goggles, or even has a pair of goggles (or a few pairs) that they like, and feel like showing off.

I'll start us off with some photos of my pair - here they are unworn:

Picture One

Picture Two

Picture Three

Picture Four

And here's a photo with them on:

Picture Five

As you can see, they've got seargent chevrons painted over the left eye (there is some visibility still! Note also, they're not upside down, that's the right way for the british army), on the left eye there is also a working laser, I just bought a cheap laser pen, repainted it and attached it to the side, the spikes are from a ring I bought a long time ago and found recently, I decided that the spikes were the perfect size to add to the goggles.

The right eye has red splatter across it, and will soon have a grill mesh over the actual eyepiece.

The goggles themselves are cheap brazing goggles, which you can pick up on amazon for $5 at the moment.
So yes, post your goggles, let me know what you think of mine, etc etc!

I imagine the chip board is from an old motherboard. Not sure though, since I did not make them. I don't make goggles. I make hair. Although I wouldn't mind giving it a try.

I've got some old computer chips and innards, if anyone wants them to make goggles with, I'll send them to you.

Hey Mollins! rather than posting email addys or anything on here, if you go to my VF profile, you can send me message through there. If you're not on VF, let me know and we'll figure something out. My brother rebuilds computers and always has spare parts that he throws out. I had taken some pieces to try to make hair barettes out of them, but lost interest. I can also check with him to see if he has any more stuff laying around that I could send you.

Those are some nice goggles there! ^^ I happen to be wearing some foam and plastic ones with a green lens. They are very big and kinda of bug eyed, but I love them. ^^

Well I had an interesting day, I went shopping for a pair of goggles and found the exact ones for only $10, Whoo Hoo!!
I recently disassembled it for priming and then I will paint it. I'll probably go for the silver and yet I haven't decided on the design of the lenses.
I'll post the pics when they are finished.

If this turns out well, I may make a few more. Just like the Cyberfalls .

You know, I gave my friend some gold and black steampunk goggles from Girl Genius. Now I wish I hadn't. I've got a wicked crush on steampunk as ironically enough, my friend has a wicked crush on the rivethead subculture and aesthetic.

It's cool to go to clubs as the mad doctor and military lacky.

Wanna fight about it, Saddi? Your laser gun from 2450 and my ray gun from 1893?

Forgive me, guys. I'm really drunk and really silly Automated Teller Machine.

Got my goggles primed, painted and now ready to reassemble. Just the simple silver goggles with black porforated lenses.

I wasn't sure of adding any details on it. Any ideas?

I know goggles are supposed to cover both eyes but frankly I couldn't resist the second you started bringing out the lasers phasers and ray guns.

There are times when you start to realize that maybe assimilation isn't always a bad thing. Besides if anything I would say the Borg is as cybergoth as it gets seeing as how they are the cybernetic versions of vampires ,though the lack of any sort of free will is a downside.

The Borg have free will. It just happens to be the same will throughout each one of them. Or at least, that's the theory. That would make for few plot-twists, I suppose. I always thought that it would have been more interesting for ST to focus on how the Borg are actually one being, instead of harping on how they all think life sucks and how they want to get out of the collective.

Back on topic - the goggles you guys have made are awesome. I wish I could see without my glasses so I could wear such things. Maybe I could make ones that fit over my specs? I may have to look into that.

Hello. Lovely glasses. Can you please tell me where you got them, and what type/model/manufacturer they are? I've been looking for exactly that same pair for some time and I'm flying blind. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Lovely glasses/goggles, btw!

They're vintage BAO Safety Division welding goggles from Ebay.co.uk, and I got them after spending a couple of months waiting for a pair like them to be listed. I'll need to get the lenses changed though because they're dark green and slightly too dark to see through safely in regular daylight.

Your best bet is to check the American Ebay for Willsons vintage goggles - they're the most common type to be listed, though there are usually quite a few folk elbowing each other to get hold of them any time a pair do go up. Here's one:
