Cielo

Hello, my name is Cielo. I live in Massachusetts but am planning on moving to the Portsmouth New Hampshire area this September. I enjoy cooking, entertaining, horseback riding, listening to music and long drives at night (though they've been becoming very costly lately).
I must confess that I am not a very fervent reader. I enjoy Poe immensely but rarely have time to read. I do, however, watch many movies. I am a bit of a wuss about horror films, but I am addicted to them none the less. Favorites films of mine are: Seven, What Lies Beneath, Hard Candy, Emile, The Nigh mare before Christmas, and Running with Scissors (good memoir film).
My favorite outfit is my beaded cotton corset from Spain, paired with my long black satin skirt and pleather pointy boots... its really cool.
I love Vast, Joy Division, Voltaire and Depeche Mode. I know that Depeche isn't really goth, but they're awesome. I want Danny boy played at my funeral... and I want to have died doing what I love, being with horses. I hope to be jumping a 5' fence on a large thoroughbred stallion when a wolf jumps out of a thicket. The horse will rear and try to attack the wolf (which happens if they can't flee. I will fall off and be knocked out by the horse. IT will trample me to death in a battle with the lone beast.
I want to be buried in a white casket with silver trim and black tooling. That might be a little much to ask, but that's what I want. As for a wedding... I don't know about that.
About my childhood, I miss the sense that everything would be alright. Even though I was the weird girl, I always had friends. As I grew up less and less people accepted me, believing I was just going to kill myself and waste their time. (All Goths are suicidal, right?). Now I just don't have many friends beyond my lovely Fiancee.
I am in the process of becoming an Equine Science major with a minor in genetics. I want to be able to genetically construct bigger, faster, stronger, more agile sport horses for the Olympic events.
Lastly, I joined Gothic.Net a few years ago because I wanted to be able to reach outside of my local Gothic circle (which is very small) to a wider network where I could exchange. I am returning now because of the same reasons, and more Internet accessibility.

I hope that leaves nothing but my looks to speculation... maybe I'll be able to post a picture some time.

Your avatar is absolutely beautiful. I love Danny Boy...I used to sing it in my church choir, back before I was more-or-less banned from the choir for having forgotten to remove my pentacle. ooops. I'm curious about your username as well.

Well, I joined gothic.net several years ago (almost three years ago). At that point I was a lot less mature and didn't see the point in chosing a beautiful or symbolic name. I though "ugh... what should my username be?" and thus became Ugh... I wish I could change it now, but I can't ...

On a forum on the internet somewhere (I honestly don't remember which one) I'm called hot-ani-69. My friend decided to advertise her attractiveness, name and favourite position online. Representing me. Yippee...you could have worse than ugh...

Welcome. My daughter and I rode horses every weekend for a year. I got to the level where I could lope without falling off and killing myself. My daughter has actually galloped.

It will be interesting to read your posts, considering your perspective then and now, in the context of Gnet's changes then and now.

Horses are really amazing aren't they? They're one of the animals that humans can have the deepest bonds with. Its really interesting to find fellow riders online.

I actually didn't make too many posts when I created my account. I could give you some of my perspectives verses my new ones if you want them, though.

Yes! Please!

It would be something of an archaeological "cyber-dig" to hear what it was like.

For some reason, I feel that posts were more cynical and sarcastic back then, as now a days Gnet seems to be more friendly. Is that your perspective? What do you see between then and now?

I think back then there were a lot more people trying to prove how Goth they were back then, and even more people trying to prove how "UN-Goth" other people were. Now I think the Stickies have stopped a majority of that and there are much more productive posts going on. I can't remember if there was a "spooky news" board back then, if there was I didn't visit it nearly enough. That place is so cool now!

A lot of my perspectives could be skewed, though. I was a really angsty (I know its not a real word but I couldn't find a better description) teen when I made the account. I went through a lot in the last three years and it really changed me for the better. Nowadays I have really calmed down and begun to see the world as an adult.

I'd rather not say exactly where I live. I had a really close call with an internet-real life stalker about five years ago. I can tell you that I live about half an hour from boston if that helps, though!
