Yesterday, I went to guitar classes after having missed for a week, just to discover that in all my independent practice, I've become better than most of my classmates (Ahhh, sweet nourishing for my already obscenely big ego)
Then I went to a friend's place and took her to a concert she has been waiting for months. The concert began at 8 p.m. We were waiting in line by 1 p.m.
I didn't particularly enjoy the band, but their aesthetic tastes are fantastic; very Victorian.
Will all the bouncing and crushing and pushing, I wouldn't doubt I may have gone to third with her
Today, I had my last three finals, which were amazingly easy, but let's see if I say the same when I get my scores.
After school, I went to the library and bought H.G. Wells' The Time Machine and Robert Anton Wilson's Schrodinger's Cat.
I found some baoding meditation balls and couldn't help myself to indulge in buying them.
Now, I'm waiting for my father to come. We're going to buy some sushi and begin building my sister's trampoline: her birthday gift.

That's right!

It's my little sister's fifteenth birthday!!!

Which also means that her friends (very beautiful friends) will come over to celebrate.

It's one of those days where you can't help but feel sexy

hehehe you guys are silly...then again just about everything is silly at 2 in the morning when I can't sleep cuz I had a really long car ride home from the beach (I have issues sleeping after long car rides and I have no idea why, I don't even sleep in the car)

Well I was at the beach all week helping my mom decorate the beach cottage that we are completely redcorating (everything from the paint to the furniture to minor construction) and the contractors are way behind (they were suposed to be all donew when we got there on Friday but they still have some stuff to do. Oh well at least I got to see my boy (he came on friday and left sunday and was actually a really big help) and my cousin Melinda and her mom (and for those of you who are interested I will soon be posting pics of me and her playing at the beach). I came back with Melinda and her mom cuz I really needed to get back to work but my mom is going to be down there for two more days so that she can finish things up, and I kind of feel bad for her cuz she really loves it down there but she really didn't get to enjoy it much at all.

Oh well I'm home now and I have to get up at 6:30 to go to work, yay for having like 4 hours of sleep

Today I tried to write more of my book, but I ended up polishing the story. I've been polishing the last two pages of my story for weeks. The first prototype has absolutely nothing to do with the current one. At this rate, I'll get married before I finish.

Today I became more comfortable with my choice of poetry over prose as my literary vocation (for reasons previously cited in my welcome thread). Ironically, I feel so liberated that I am inspired to write a short story. God, I love poetry. I wish I could have figured this out about myself years ago.

Ooh, Mr. Poet!
You should do something in the form of Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner! I love poem-stories!

Tim Burton does them well :P

Yes he does, and I only hope I can imitate him and the greatness of S.T. Coleridge, though admittedly I have quite a bit of work to do.

*sigh*

Today I managed to slam my elbow in a door . . . Don't ask me how I did that, I'm still trying to figure it out. That was my bit of excitement for the day. *bitches quietly to self*

I also actually decided to write something, finally. I've written about 130 pages of nonsense, just trying to figure out where I'm heading, and it's turning into something a bit more coherent than usual. Maybe I'll go somewhere with it.

Today my daughter drew a picture based on the Cure's "Just Like Heaven" song, and it was so beautiful that it made me cry. ( Yes, she laughed at me! Oh, the cruelty! )

Today I spent 6 hours at one of the final rehersals of my schools production of Alice in Wonderland. I'm in the grade 7/8 chorus. I get to dress up in a wonderfully revealing flower costume.

I'll try to post some pics later in the week, so you can all have a good chuckle

Today I posted in Pet Picture thread a picture of a rescued kitten. The kitten is so cute I can't stop looking at the picture.

It was my day off today so I used the time to pack, sort, and throw away various objects. I'm trying to move out and I have a deadline to make, but I took a few breaks, and got to blow bubbles with my son and write to some friends.
