Thanks Kit. But I'm sure you'd do great with those, and believe me, walking isn't hard at all. It just looks like it, because of the high heels~

Hey, does anyone know where i can go to find out if theres a shop nearby (preferably Huddersfield area in the UK) that sells New Rock shoes?
I'd love to try some on, they look pretty cool. I'd buy some online but ive never wore any shoes/boots like them before nevermind New rock so its too risky
Thanks

You can try going here and browsing around the shops listed in your general area. Most gothic clothing stores in the UK will sell New Rocks, so just find the shops closest to you and check them out.
Back to the subject of delicious footwear, I want these.

I thought they sell them everywhere these days. When i bought my New Rocks there was only one shop in whole Finland that sold them. I was in London a year ago and I saw them everywhere. But oh well, I have no idea how far Huddersfield is from there... so I'll stay quiet! :|

Eh, I'm wondering how expensive (damn, what are they called? Transverters?) Those smexy shoes that have oh-so-many different configurations are in general. I'm gonna start looking for them on the net, but I wanna know the usual price so I don't end up spending more than I need to.

If you show a pic? Could get an idea of what shoes you're talking about. I found nothing by that name...

O yeah. Now I know what you're talking about. Dunno but I guess the general price runs somewhere in 100 euros if you buy them of artificial leather.

A very very long way away Huddersfield wouldnt even have a 1% of the amount of shops London has as well
And lets not forget London is one of the biggest gatherings of Asians and other cultures, and of the ones who are born and bred british, almost all of them are "chav's", "emo's" and "indie's", so all the shops cater to them
If there was a Goth shop in Huddersfield, it would probably be in the back streets behind all the major shops and stuff.
Thanks for that shop list, though its gonna take a while to check out those 114 websites hehe

i love my heels, and i would wear them everyday, but they just kill my feet. . . so mainly i wear ballerina syle black flats. i used to have more shoe choices, but alot of them have gotten old and i'm broke. . .i did buy a pair or platform boots from a thrift store a couple weeks ago, but those are ALREADY peeling apart from the sole! (mental note: never buy boots from thrift stores. . .)

you can buy them at thrift stores but just like everything else at a thrift store you have to really look at them to check out the quality and how much wear and tear they have sustained

I'm really needing some sandals for summer, but I can't seem to find anything I like. I want something that is a platform wedge, but no more than 3" at the heel. I like to have at least a 1" toe platform on all shoes that I wear. Does anyone know of any brands or stores that sell cool platform sandals? (excluding Demonia, I hate Demonia).

I have just got a pair of sandals which have given me awful blisters. Looks like its back to the New Rocks until they heal.

As I can see you're local (to me!)....
Have you ever tried Compeed plasters? You can get them from Boots. It does involves popping and scalping the blister, but once they're on, it's like have a new piece of skin.

They really are ugly shoes. I certainly wouldn't wear them, but you should do what you want and not worry about it. They sell other gothic shoes. Buy a pair you actually like.

I never thought I would buy a pair of New Rocks...I've never really liked them at all. I have seen other people that look great in them, but they're just not really my style. I think, for me personally, they just have too much going on. I like plainer looking boots. THEN, I saw these (but in shiney, crinkled look black patent leather) while on my honeymoon last month. I told my husband if he didn't buy them for me, I was divorcing him as soon as we got back to the US. They are suprisingly comfortable, and they are the ONLY knee high boots I have found that actually accomodate my beefy calves!

I am now also newly obsessed with owning these:

I think I have some sort of mental disorder that makes me hoard boots....
