Greetings and Salutations

Greetings. I'm not too good at these things so please bare with me.

1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
The dark & macabre, music, guitar, bass, times past, calligraphy, haunting dark corners and relaxing in gardens.

2. Where are you from?
Australia

3. Who is your favorite author?
I mostly read non-fiction.

4. What are your favorite films?
Films by Quentin Tarantino or Robert Rodriguez always go down well with me. Tim Burton is another director I like. When it comes to movies I'm not that fussy and will watch pretty much anything providing it can hold my attention & keep me entertained.

5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
I find Cursum Perficio by Enya hauntingly beautiful, perfect for a wedding.

6. At your funeral?
Maybe some Bach, Paganini, Purcell or even some Vivaldi. I love baroque music .

7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
Of extremely old age.

8. What kind of casket would you want?
A stone crypt would be perfect but I cannot see that happening.

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
With me less is more with a nice shirt and half decent pair of pants being sufficient. Preferably in dark colours and shades.

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
Believing in everything whilst being oblivious to the real world.

11. What's your favorite band?
My favorite bands are Opeth, Dark Tranquillity, At the Gates, Korpiklaani plus a few more. Favorite goth related acts include Bauhaus, Dead Can Dance, The Cure & Siouxsie and The Banshees.

12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
I'm somewhat of an autodidact so...

13. Why did you join?
The same reason I believe most people would join such a website.

14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
Male.

Very droll reference to Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman, to be sure. Welcome aboard, sir!

Why does everyone think it's cool and original to say 'Greetings' or 'Salutations' or 'Greetings and Salutations'? You would never address someone like that offline.

There's this supposedly goth podcast I listened to a couple of times, the hosts always open with that phrase. I always think the noobs who use it in their intro thread get it from there.

Only time I ever say "Greetings and Salutations" that's offline... still isn't in person, it's in letters.
