Stalingrad.

Even though for half of the movie, the voices were off, it was a very challenging movie. There were some concepts in there that I wouldn't understand if I hadn't read The Forgotten Soldier, which is a memoir from a half french, half german kid of about 16 going into the Russian front.
There were some parts of the movie that were, mleh. But the rest was just a "wow".

I guess I thought the movie was somewhat mleh, because it was by the same producers as Das Boot, an awesome movie. I was expecting a Das Boot like movie, with lots of suspenseful silent parts. S'not what I got, but like Das Boot, it has a killer ending.

Overall I'd rate it up there with some of my other favourites.

Last night I saw The Forgotten. It had a few scenes that made me jump, but the end reminded me of this quote by Poe :
"In visions of the dark night
I have dreamed of joy departed
but a waking dream of life and light
hath left me brocken-hearted".
Watch the movie and you'll probably see what I mean.

The Village. I don't know if I liked it, but the ending is pretty damn hard to guess!

I last watched 'Operation Delta'. I didn't pay too close attention though. I think these soldiers were trying to retrieve this stolen virus and anti-sirum. Oo! Speaking of sirum... I shal watch 'Blade' in the morrow.

It's strange how I thought of the word 'sirum' and I instantly thought of 'Blade'. Wesley Snipes. Mmmmmmmmm.

The Hills Have Eyes.

Jupiter was the coolest looking, the others looked like 'El Guapo' from 'The Three Amigos'.

Great great build-up of dread. 'Beast the Superdog' rawked with his doggie kawk out.

fear dot com.

sucked, sucked, sucked, sucked, sucked, sucked.

i turned it off after thirty minutes and that's ONLY because a nude chic popped up on screen every other time i got up to turn it off. after 30 minutes, even the promise of more nude chics couldn't save it.

that's real bad.

last movie i watched was a documentary about what REALLY happened at Waco....after watching it and looking at the video and evidence and interviews it presented, there is no doubt david koresh was wacked, but the government MURDERED those people in cold blood including small children for NO APPARENT REASON....the U.S. Government still states to this day that they never fired a single shot, and the bodies recovered that were riddled with bullet holes were either self inflicted or caused by other Branch Dividians...LIES.

Wow that was a bad movie. I tried watching it twice on digital cable and fell asleep both times.

You want a terrifying movie about the internet? I mean seriously? Look for a movie called Kairo. Manimal will back me on this.

If you're looking for a horror movie that does not suck you should check out Ravenous . More of a suspense film, but it deals with the human aspect of horror, although it takes some liberties with supernatural native american legend.

well then, for a more classic approach, try Raw Meat (has donald pleasance from Halloween), or Deranged. Deranged is by far the best Ed Gein movie ever produced, and features really early FX work by Tom Savini. Raw Meat is a bit wierd and sorta slow but the end will make you shudder.

Kario is scary period.

A fun horror movie, with tongue placed firmly in it's cheek, is Night of the Creeps.

It has Tom Atkins, and that alone is worth the rental.
