Question Industrial, maybe?

Ok, I have a thing for Industrial and Classical. A good combo of the two i've found is Apocolyptica, Nightwish, In Strict Confidence, Within Temptation, and L'ame Immortalle. Granted i may ahve my terms wrong, but i still like those three groups.
Any suggestions on more stuff like them?

Nightwish is NOT industrial by any means.

Maybe Moonspell, Lacrimosa, Tristiania, or Tiamat could be up your lane. Check those out.

Newer Industrial really annoys me. I like old 80's Industrial stuff more. Executive Slacks is pretty rad.

Maybe this should just turn into an Executive Slacks thread.

Industrial and Classical, huh? As in... what most industrial bands do, which is use synths to replicate that sound? Or are you talking about actual instruments being used to assemble orchestral compilations in industrial music? Because that'll narrow the field way down.

"Combine the violin mastery of Nigel Kennedy, the voice of an alien Siouxsie/Bowie hybrid, and the looks of a post-apocalyptic Marie Antoinette, and what do you get? Emilie Autumn. The pink-haired princess of "victoriandustrial" has already morphed her way from classically trained violin prodigy to extreme rock performer with the ability to shred on a fiddle à la Yngwie, and with a cult following to match."

I guess you might like this, worth a try?

This thread still annoys me.

Having synths doesn't make stuff industrial.

Anyway, you may wanna check out the genres of "Apocolyptic Folk" and "Martial Industrial."

I'm not a fan of Apocolyptic Folk, so I can only really recommend later-era Current 93, but on the field of Martial Industrial, check out early Test Dept, Der Blutharsch, and Puissance.

By the way, Sorrow, there is no band named "bluetengel." You mean Blutengel.
Blutengel sucks, anyway. Don't listen to them.

I think I would like Apocolyptica more if they didn't cover so many Metallica songs.

Wow.
Kid - Mr Jillian, what's the ratio of industrial bands against bands that were just thrown in with no reasonable explanation for an industrial band thread?
Jillian - About the same ratio of your life's net amount of worth against how much I kick ass.

Your loss.

I don't know when someone else's opinion changed something as a priori as someone else's opinion.

Dude, I know what you mean. It's like I constantly have to tell people: "Just because this music has drums in it, doesn't make it Jazz."

Good idea: Ressurect only threads yout think are useful.

Oh and as much as I love the Crus, I don't consider them "Industrial" by any means. I don't care much for Combi.

T_T while I am not too much for an enthusasit of Industrial (current, Synth Pop stuff) I can say that the OPs' bands are not Industrial either. Your best bet is to ask Mags.

Hmhh..Gristle, Ein., Death In June, and early Ministry are my reccomendations. But the majority of these are not of electronica. With the sole pardon of Ministry; which I favour.

YES! Everybody loves the real early Ministry.

I actually prefer the era right after that, though. "Twitch"-era.

Also, Death in June has multiple sounds. Their more recent stuff is Apocolyptic Folk, but their earlier stuff is more like Einsturzende.

Just saying. o_o

Gah. I freaking love Death In June. Any era, but I think Mags gives Kudos to their nazi-esque attire Of course, of course, for Industrial fashion.

I love the early Ministry. Fake British accent or not, too underground for me to call SynthPop.

Yay Mag!
