Overlord

Anyone else playing this game? It's quite brilliant. Kinda like Dungeon Keeper mixed with Pikman.

Build an army of minions and ransack the countryside, in efforts to rebuild your dark empire and destroy the seven heros who killed you years before.

No, I've heard of it though. How smoothly does it run? It sounds like good game but i get motion sickness like that *snaps fingers*

I tried the demo, but it wasn't really my thing. I loved Dungeon Keeper though!

Try The Darkness... it's awesome!

Bought it a couple of weeks ago. My kid played it for about an hour or so and then switched to some other game. To the best of my knowledge he hasn't played it since. It looked pretty cool, what I saw of it.

I loved it, but it became a bit...err.. repetitive after a while. Love the fact that the little minions wear pumpkins and other bits of stuff they find as helmets etc.

That is kewl - the way the minions use the stuff the ransack as their own personal armour and jewelery.

I'm about halfway through now - still enjoying it so far but it is getting a bit repetitive, much like Oblivion did about halfway through.

I've heard there have been control issues that have made the game rather frustrating, other than that good reviews.

I played the demo first, on the xbox 360, and those controls were superb. Bought it for my PC later and those controls were not so superb... a weird combination of button-assignments on the mouse and slightly more difficult controlling over the minions when they roam around under your control. It can be fixed by plugging in a 360 controller into the PC though.

It's worth every penny, that game.

Yeah, trying to haver yet minions grab things and then move around is a big pain in the arse if ye don't have a 360 controller.

For example, trying to move those bug eggs in the desert is damn near impossible.

I own it for PC, and I love the unique gameplay and the "cute" graphics. The controls are not a big issue, I think. But they take some time to get used to.
