Signatures
How do you guys decide on a signature? I could think of plenty that I would want to put down but all them together would really just look stupid.
I've tried the epic (these are the ones that have some philisophical or inspirational jargon behind them), I've tried the comedic and the random but I've never found one that sticks. I keep wanting to change it then change back but i've already used it so I can't but I do and then I change it again.............. And on it goes.
Any one got any ideas on choosing the perfect signature?

I know some members take odd, stupid, and silly quotes from members of the boards. Try that.

Mine is, obviously, a quote from a book.

Mine tends to change frequently, depending on my mood, I use it like a changable tagline. Currently it's from an Imogen Heap song.

I chose my Poe quote because that way, at the end of everything I write, the good Poe comments on it the same way.
Sobeh: blah blah..
Poe: Yet again this idiot verbally vomits up some petulant, pique-ish verbage! <sigh>
The Tillich quote has more to do with existential philosophy's perspective on meaning and language, and was the shortest quote I could find that conveyed this idea. Even at that the length ran large, so I put the font down a size.
---
As far as suggestions go, I've used the following in the past:
"OMG! chek this b0>< if U lik meee: [ ]"
"Insert witty social commentary here."
"Time passes..."

Currently mine is the Tomorrow and Tomorrow monologue from Macbeth. Every year in high school English we did a Shakespeare play, and in our last year we did Macbeth. It was fun. We got to act out the parts, and we had a big assignment to do at the end of it. I made a replica of the three witches out of garbage and paper mache, for example, two guys did a sports commentary on the battle between Macbeth and Macduff, and best of all my friend reinacted the entire play in fifteen minutes, and played all but two of the parts (it was video taped). She used stuffed animals for some parts, and the best part is when she is Banquo about to get assasinated by a flying Pikachu. Due to fond memories associated with it, Macbeth is my favourite play.
Also, you know, and its a great piece of prose. It looks a bit long, though, I'm on the search for a shorter signature.

Mine at the moment is a quote off of one of the pins I've got on the strap of my bag.

I initially decided to be dark and literary with mine, quoting gloomier artists and writers. Byron is a favorite and is my current choice. But I will also sample other "sunnier" writers as well.

My signature?
I just thought of it when I saw Ana smile, and I knew it was true.

Mine is from an Electric Six song. The silliness of it appeals to me, and I use it because I don't want anyone to take my posts too seriously.

I got this one from a Murderdolls song. I've know idea why it appeals to me but it does. Maybe it reminds of someone but I don't know who yet. My mind is a very confusing place, even I get lost in it sometimes. Hey, that could be my new one!
It's all good stuff guys, keep 'em coming.

I chose the Mael quote because it's one of the funniest things he's ever said here. Plus, Mael kicks ass!
The quote from Jane is something someone should write to Eldritch one of these days. Too late Andrew, your music's already been classified. STFU!

I got mine from one of the best snarky replies to a troll I've seen in quite some time.
I should put a geeky D&D reference abou the CR of trolls, btu I suppose I'll save you all the bother of telling me I'm a geek.

Mine is just some dumb bumper sticker quotes. I was bored and couldn't think of anything else to write there.

Mine's just some old chestnut I heard somewhere or other.
I love Beowulf's sig. And EPS's lets us know who's in the lead with the flaming, very often.

My current sig is from "Alice in Wonderland", a poem from my favorite character, The Catepillar...
The last was a quote from Deutsch Nepal called "Rumors".
"I am Rumor.
It is a blessed condition, believe me ...to be whispered about on street corners ...to live in other peoples dreams, but not to have to be.
Do you understand?"
One of my other favorite quotes.

Type "creepy" into google images... Or just use a recent photo of Michael Jackson. Or the Pope.
