Um, the one on the right wasn't used in the movie. I thought the remake was better and truer to the book, although the book is SUPERIOR and both movies are only okay. Must be from a deleted scene that was deleted with good reason.

I remember I joined the forums when I was on vacation.. I had just finished highschool and waiting for my final exam results, I didn't have a clue of what I'm gonna study in college at the time.
Amazing that in 40 days I'm graduating University. I'm so excited!

The book is always better than the film, but quite honestly.. remakes bother me. I'm going to watch the American, but only because my friend Bjorn said it wasn't horrible.. :/
Murder, it's Let The Right One In. Very highly recommend the Swedish version. Official opinion of American remake pending.

The first movie doesn't make sense if you never read the book. Like the crotch shot, I remember Apathy being mad they never explain that. The remake hints that he sees it but they never show it, I think they were going to show the origin of Eli but changed from the book, which I assume the cross paint is from that, which I guess makes sense since you can't really show a child getting castrated, but in the end they left her gender ambiguous. I think both films have the feel of a class movie, you know? Like if they ever studied this book in high school or university, the teacher will put one of the movies on so she can have a break and maybe sneak out for a smoke while the students are watching.

That's an easy line that lots of people throw about freely, but it isn't always true. I liked the book 'Serpico', but man did that ever become an awesome movie. 'M*A*S*H' by Richard Hooker is an okay book (not even great really) but it got turned into a landmark film. The Godfather is a decent book but it is clearly surpassed by its celluloid offspring, one of the greatest movies of all time. And there are lots of other examples.
So it's usually true that the book is better than the film, but not anything like always.

I think that often, amazing books can make mediocre films, while mediocre books can make great films. I hate Jane Austen novels but don't mind the TV adaptation of P & P, and I thought No Country for Old Men and True Grit (the Coen remake) are both okay books, but far better films. Yet All the Pretty Horses and Ask the Dust, which I absolutely adored as novels, were absolutely dire on the screen.

Damn it, I wish so hard that I were in Newfoundland right now.
Also I may or may not be exceptionally drunk right now.

Newfoundland does sound nice.
It is funny. I looked up my name several different ways with "nude" or "nudity" and there are thousands of nude photos of other people. Sometimes celebrities show up in the search, like Justin Bieber. I don't even know how that happens. Now I feel kind of irked, because not one picture of myself shows up, clothed or otherwise. (I think there was a couple pics of me with first and last name. I've never posed nude. No nude photos. Not even nude photos with a bad photoshop job putting my face on someone else's body.)

It might be a few years from now, but when I graduate I should take a trip to America, I can apparently easily make it a sex tour.

Kor I am deciding to reply to you via gnet because my phone is being a bitch and I'm doing it here because I always forget to check my PMs (I always feel weird using the plural of PM because I think that people will get confused and think I'm talking about PMS, even though that wouldn't make any sense in the context).
Yay I'm not the only one, although mine has a few different members and they aren't all together (it was getting way too crowded so I had to split them up).
On an unrelated note: I hate split days off and I'm all cranky and a little out of it today.
