You are wrong. This was handled in a sensible way, in a manner this forum and it's members are accustomed to. The OP got the message, and no harm was done. You, on the other hand, are digging a hole you may not be able to get out of.
Think twice (and longer if necessary) before advising someone who has been around close to three years and has close to 2400 posts on how to behave here. You haven't got a clue yet.

This is not a system wide problem. The person doing the necroing responded positively to me in another thread, and she is no longer doing it.
Advising us that there are some part of the FAQ's that might lead to some misunderstanding is all well and good, but this thread imparted understanding. The rest of the posts that followed here are just BS.

Speaking for myself, it's not the bumping of threads in and of itself that I find so annoying - more the fact that people who do this virtually ALWAYS choose flesh-crawlingly inane topics like "What's ur goth-a-tude" or "Have u ever been mistaken for an emo". If some thread-Jesus came along and resurrected, say, the jazz thread, or anything with some actual substance, I wouldn't have a problem with that.

If I had been able to PM Toxin, I would have. I was not able to at the time, due to her low post count.
Also, yes, if it was only one or two oldies she brought back, I'd probably just let it go, but it seemed like it was more than that. What's more, others had asked her to stop, but she was still doing it. [This may have been a timing error, though, in which she posted in another thread before she saw the requests to stop; I really don't know.] Also, as Apathy said, the threads being brought back up weren't really...interesting. ["Gotha-tude"..? Seriously? lol ]
I agree the policy is confusing, but essentially [and this goes for just about any board I've been on], if the thread you're posting in is over a year old, then it's okay to make a new one. Just say that you saw an old thread, but thought it was better to make a new one when you create the new one, and no harm done.
