I have noticed. Sure, the bill sucks but rather than make overblown analogies, why not do something feasible about it?

But that edit is a glaring reason as to why you experience conflict, you're too busy being condescending and defensive to be considered remotely likable or tolerable.

Condescending is a perfect word to describe how people are to me here. Hell, go take a look at my first post, seems it's a trend here(btw, I spoke like that toward GSJ only because he is one of the main people who flame me on nearly every post I make, I dont speak to someone like a child unless they diserve it).

That's not physical force. In fact, that is a very civil form of civil disobedience.
And, again, Obama bands flavored cigarettes and now suddenly he's a dictator that is cracking on 'tobacco in America' that merits the same 'physical force' like when the hippies attacked LBJ and "the rioters [were] tearing the place apart" in the white house?

What happened to your intelligence, ArchLich?
I haven't insulted you once but I'm somehow childish? Is that reasonable or are you just too hurt to actually make an argument?

You're implying that somehow what I said was implying that hippies "litterally" attacked the white house. I know you're not that fucking stupid, so the only other explanation is that you're starting redundant shit because you're bored, or whatever the reason may be, and I'm simply too lazy to play along, ok?

But you are playing along. You just want to make it seem like you're good at this, when you just refuse to answer if anyone challenges you.
I really didn't consider it below you to believe that hippies actually stormed the white house, considering the rest of the hyperbole you employed of which you appear to be dead serious.

Thats why they put this bill out there.
That and, you know, cigarettes usually taste like ass.

I don't know why people confuse hippies and Gandhi...

They make your lips taste sweet. Tobacco in itself tastes alright (depending on the type) it's that god awful cigarette paper and all the stuff they add to it.

I've experimented smoking nothing but dried mint leaves out of a pipe.

If you REALLY like mint, it's yummy.

I must assume that simply eating the leaves would taste considerably better...

Okay...here's my issue with this whole situation... that I'm going to be completely blunt about...
I smoke cloves, on a regular bases. I understand that I could possibly get lung cancer, and that my health is in a MAJOR risk because of my love for smoking. BUT it should be MY choice on what kind of cigarettes I smoke...I'm 21...I've been smoking for 3 years...and what pisses me off about the whole..."flavored -attracts- kids thing" is that I never once smoked a "flavored" cigarette as a kid...my first one was a freakin marlboro red...And usually if a kid wants to smoke...they don't care what the fuck they're smoking...as long as they can look cool...so this isn't gonna change a thing.... I don't like feeling that the government can just take whatever they want away...whenever they want to take it away. I understand they're concern for "americans" but if they were so concerned then why are they trying to pass a law that's going to kill off the elderly, and the mentally challenged? Have you guys heard about that? They want to try to euthanize people.... And yeah, funny thing is they're not willing to accept the same level of healthcare they're trying to force on us...Yeah. They're going to kill people, man. euthanize 'em. Like animals at the vet. People who don't fit into their bracket of "americans helping america" or some bullshit like that. And yet they're SO CONCERNED about people smoking FLAVORED cigarettes...Fuck that shit. Just read up on the matter, kay? And then tell me whether or not I'm making any sense. Thank you for reading my rant.

It isn't that you aren't making sense, it's that you have a tiny bit of information, and you use it to get upset and rant when there are more important things to be angry about.

Your flavored tobacco is being taken away. Oh god, Obama's about to enslave you.

It would have made more sense if you had taken the time to sit down and think clearly about how you wanted to get your message across instead of a Leary-style block of text.

You may not think I'm being very sympathetic but I am.

Cloves are alluring for an aesthetic reason (Read: I'm ridiculously vain and once in a while, I would indulge in social smoking) but fact is, I never should have started smoking in the first place especially for such a stupid reason and if you want to do something, try actually writing to a local senator or congressman.

Relax, it's still in the air on whether or not it'll pass.

CHILD PLEASE.

Do you realize how spoiled and callous you sound? At least you have the ability to object without getting locked up for it. Worry more about retaining that right instead of being the goffiest goffity goff with black smokes.

This statement sounds a lot like an Ophelia post...

However, the good news is that Djarum has released basically the same exact thing that just got banned with new kinds of paper or it's been out for a while. They're calling them cigars, but they're pretty small, about the size of a cigg.

As for the comment itself. I'm sure we're all aware that there are bigger fish to fry out there, so banning flavored cigarettes is perfectly acceptable douchebaggery by the government. I mean, it's really just denying a small percentage of a population their right to aesthetic, tobacco of choice, and personal tastes; and I think by now, we've all learned that individual autonomy is totally okay to fuck with so long as the majority of the people are happy about it.

For those that actually like smoking cloves, you can still do it, you're just going to have to find an alternative way of smoking it and accept that we no longer have totally badass black cigarettes to strike poses with out on the streets. :-/

The bush administration gave itself the power to lock people up without a trial, forever. They gave themselves the power to listen in on your phone calls without a warrant, to 'sneak' into your home and root through your stuff without cause. The bush administration voted to keep all of this secret and put measures in place anyone who spoke about them would be put in a secret prison forever.

Yet you think banning candy flavoured cigarettes is dictatorship. You really need to reevaluate your priorities mate.

Yeah. I messed up and put a post about it under whining but I was kinda whining because cloves are all I smoke, and it sucks that this is what it has come down to. 2 years ago, they stopped selling Sampoerna's here. Yet, I went out to LA back in June and I found them. However, its just kinda ironic that now they are gonna ban them all totally.
