trouble often flies
as a wingman for loose lips
bluntness causes strife

Thank you, HP.
Chased beyond his fight or flight
Response he often wondered which
Affected his decision more
While waiting for his dear amour
Lost betwixt the teeth and floor.

The Great White Fate
With enrapt words worked up as scheme
His heart beckoned to the distillation of
absconding dream
In effervescence, newly pristine
And in her mind, unruly, declined
Ever-the-passive by nature and its tepid designs
Its contortions, its monstrocities
To but seek the seeking death, in works of fed atrocity
Through pangs of sedated hands and their belligerent
philosophy.

Goo--Use with Caution
Thank you, Aaroneet.
Goo--Use with Caution
My brother is a biker
he likes to ride a lot.
He'll even wake at seven
to beat the morning clot.
Tires spinning fast
and panting all the while
my older brother pedals up
the top of a rock pile.
Surveying all the hills
he picks an easy target.
He clicks the shifter one-two-three
and sets directly to it.
A mild hill forbodes a spill
but he won't avoid it.
To him a ride is not a ride
unless he lives a bit.
(For those of you who don't know, goo is an energy gel commonly consumed by cyclists. It's nasty.)

The Words Said Here are Good
"I'm verbing, man,"
said Ted the barman
as he placed a towel
on the mess of the night owls
at the Thalamus Bar and Grille.
"It's beyond my skill
to use words for ill
but I listen all the same
'cause one of them will reach fame
after a reading here one night."
The customer bobbed his head
as he lifted his mead and said,
"I can't deny
this place is fly
but the food is anything but grand."
Ted took offense
but his choler stopped whence
a poet began to read.
Swigging his mead,
the customer heard
the magic of spoken word.
"I'm telling you only
I'm here 'cause I'm lonely
but mainly for the mood.
Poetry's fine; I like a good line.
The words said here are good."

Sanguine sanguinity;
sorcerer of sick.
Serpent sliding silently
spreading gobs of ick.
Further creepy chronicles
to wit I cannot know
what they could be thinking of
the footprints in the snow.
Please, oh please,
tell me what they think.
Alas! I cannot know it.
I'm close to the brink.
A cliff so steep and scary,
quite keenly close to God
pausing only momentary
before the jump-- the fall from grace six hundred stories high.
I cannot fathom it at all
what compelled the madd'ning fall.
What sayest thou, you faerie bright?
Who art thou, merry wand'rer of the night?
My God, she's high on opium,
'cayed further than Europium.
At least I've gone and come back fine.
Please join me for the tea at nine.

Re-time
I wish I could return to life
to be a new born creature free of me
that once was old and now is new again
to live the life I left without constraint.
I wish that I had never thought
to look behind me as I walked away.
I felt so sorry for my life.
the way I went astray.
I wish I had not blocked my mind.
I wandered far for answers near
and turned away at what
I did not want to hear.
I wish that I had gone
forgetting how the sun
smiled upon the floor
that Thursday afternoon.
I wish I hadn’t spent
all that time of mine
searching for false hope
and dreaming on the sly.

Marybelle
Little Marybelle
with her pretty pouty frown
saw the redgold marching band
go loudly down the town.
"Ah," said she, "that's just for me!"
So Marybelle joined the guard.
Little prissy Marybelle
with her turned-down frown
began to learn the ways
the ups and downs
the means and ends
of such a group of friends.
She spun, she ran, she sang the score
while marching in a file.
She learned the basics oh-so-well;
Now she's got the style.
Darling little Marybelle
with the sweetest frown
was marching in parade one day
before a caravan of mayors, councils, and the scouts
led by a team of four.
The wind it flared
and teased the hair
of prancing Marybelle.
Her flag it blew
and snagged the shoe
of spinning Marybelle.
But oh! She fell
and was trampled by the hooves.
Oh well.

i'm quite certain that these poems have graced GNet some time in the past in the original poetry thread. Since it is no longer in service here they are again.
Another Forever
we live life like children dancing madly
among their shadows naked in drowning somber
exploring dark corners hidden away with secrets of
dreams where crusted ancient razors silently glide
across warm pallid mystic lines.
alone we crawl through our tormented landscapes
laughing and crying and lying along the way
ripping at the tears that once torn our souls to live
one more day to recount our pain to paper's voice
and remember reasons our blood forever falls away.
always front and center of the dirty old mirror
quietly staring into a stranger's ragged eyes
never certain if tomorrow's today is the last
time will we allow the show to go on yet another night
but our hands...our delicate finite hands
are locked etherically for all eternity...
yet again though on the edge pondering the darkened
depths of chasms and caverns along which we dance
and just how long will our card last this time around.
...
we live life like children dancing madly
knowing
each day is one
step
closer to
another Forever

Heaven awaits, he said, behind that door
where the lessons you learned so long ago
in this life do not apply, anymore.
Nickel and the dime whore, the song we dance
within the dimming shades of all we knew,
heaven awaits he said behind that door
where the lessons you learned so long ago...
and like children we play for forever,
amongst twilights and time's final sunsets,
kiss our souls goodbye and farewell regrets,
heaven awaits he said, behind that door
where the lessons you learned so long ago
in this life do not apply, anymore.

A Service
What trembling hand could but seize thee, in stages of
woeful splendor
Which encompasses encompassing minds, by
ranging scope of measure
The triumph, in ensconcing subtlety, the rage and
its incandescence
Descending like new light, forelorn,
the scorn and its irridescence
And evermore the scorn, through pity's incredulous storm
As approaching thorns bid through absconding bellows
Betwixt imploring melodies intertwined
And ever-the-new by nature's bidding sinew,
the undulations now unspoken
Approach me, newly broken, befuddled, in dread halves
while dread minds leap
Across barren fields of enterprise, which daunting eyes do keep
In sweet utterance, the indiscretion and its
henceforth receding lance
While emparting stands give way unto immaculateness and
her famine's rabid dance.

an illusion is not always a magic trick
there is no explination
I am a facade
not as I seem, but as I would be
natural beauty is a sham
knowledge takes the place of genetics
to be lovely is neccesary
beneath the illusion
a seeping, expanding monstrosity
lines to show where is what shouldn’t be
rolls, tempting
I wish to slice them from my being
scars, easily hidden with cream
resurface when liquid cascades
down bumpy, baked film
like baked phila
hard to handle, easily messed up, a pain
cracking, expanding, braking
fattening and ugly
I fear others
I fear myself
Underneath my craftily arranged apparel
lies a despicable wretch found only by the brothers Grimm
the mere sight of my true ugliness
will show, you’ve been betrayed
there is no beauty here

Addiction and Deception
I need it
can’t get my hands on the good stuff no more,
so I resort to sugar
wherever I can find it
no matter who’s it is
it is mine
my drug
my relief
the best days
are the ones where I can get
some blood and some sugar
ice cream and scissors
what a combo
I’m bouncing off the walls
leaving bloodstains on the carpet
dirty dishes in the sink
a steak knife in my back pocket
look ma, i made a cake!
no ma, I don’t know
where the pencil sharpener went
cake hides sugar
essential drug
takes my mind away from reality
little pencil sharpeners
for writing or make-up
seems harmless enough
but it hides my best friend
tiny silver blades
that can be screwed off with hair clips
relief during class or at home
chuckle
i could do a freaking commercial
sugar and blood
sugar and blood
crystals turn red
dry to brown on my carpet floor
easy to get
easy to use
they think they’ve cured me
they are arrogent
i need it
they have it
mine now
I have what I need

New Goodbye
Grace me with enclosing sighs
The banishment, the usurpations
And ever-the-cleansing in its insinuations
Like the sweetest lullabyes, in tepidity, bidding by-and-by,
the wonderous eyes
Which shift in straits, of subtlety and condoning fate
Bidding, omniscient, enclosing and proficient
Betwixt irrationality and the provocatively wayward sighs
Enrapt in awaiting lies as fleeting lips bid meekly unto
new goodbyes.

Thine poesy sends me into untold raptures, Aaroneet. I must keep coming back for more!
Why have you dared to look at what I told you not to touch?
I had but time to make request; ‘twas really nothing much.
The graves beneath your feet look all turned and fresh;
Now bury down your dead and clean up all your mess.
Enough of your behaviour; I won’t have you be seen
Slinking ‘tween the markers of your parents oh so mean.
Save your breath for someone with an ear.

Hysteria
Newly deceived in shades of precipitation, the bounds'
approaching nation
And henceforth unfurled through sides no man need incense
Or unto the whim, in sets of set precedence, like steps,
enthralled and consumed
Evermore the brooding betwixt prosperity and its dear panacea
Ignorance which spreads as monsoons through the distance and
its nearing hysteria.

there is nothing
for me here
i have been replaced
if only in my mind
my future as a hermit
pleasant seeming
at first, that is
she is nice, really
kind and edgy
perfect for you
two artists
sketching in peace
while a lone poet
strives for some sort
of recognition
i seek caring
in your eyes
all i see is awkwardness
and a glimmer
of indifference
you never laugh
with me
i wanted so badly
to see you happy
i’m still dying first
you know that at least,
right?

What would you say
If I announced that I loved you
you think we’re just friends
I guess I made that quite clear
it troubles me
whenever two people
make sacrifices
for the happiness of each other
both are harmed
and none are satisfied
let me in again
you have replaced me
I am determined to reclaim
my place in your heart
you are the compass
companion to my lost state
if you will not let me try once more
then banish me with words
I am a ghost
a spirit devoid of a home
I cannot move to a better place
Can you at least
make this place
happy

crystals of salt
suspended in liquid
bowing to gravity’s order
falling
it’s my fualt
my words slither
flowing from my lungs
a poisenous fog that rolls over this battlefield
may your hand too answer the call of gravity
please, padre, comprende, por favor
it’s the depression
the disorders
the diseases
they speak to you, not I
it was not my intention
to drive a stake
through the decaying heart of this family
forgive me post humanly
is it not easier to analize and forgive
once the plauge has passed
make your pleas for forgiveness
by a headstone
I know not what I do
but you
you are as lucid
lucid as I will never be

Climactic Ending (A Farewell)
Controlled in dwindling vestments betwixt levity and
her adoration
Long-adorned, hapless and evermore the forelorn
In decaying depths, approach me, irridescence and
the miserly breath
Enthralling, gaping, through vacant confessions, I
bid thee, intrepid,
Luring and newly tepid,
Descending, henceforth depending in fleets of the
languid subtleties,
Set in face of our dear mentality, take hold,
grasping, a new phase,
Consoled. In lack of levity, heretofore dulled
And heretofore the told, in keepings, the sweepings,
here enthralled
By-the-by, in muttered everythings, elusive, and
there appalled
Interspersed at the approaching banter's sentence-call
And like dissonance which basks at untimely light's
resonance in dread descendings
The creeping path of ego reaches unseemly heights
in its newly climactic ending.

``Give me the blood on your face, so I can paint a picture
On your body, spread out, the forbidden canvas I behold
``The eyes on your face are, like the souls engraved in your head
He crawls into a hole, knowing are love means the end
``Fear crawls into those knowing us together
On your body I paint a picture of your eyes
``Reach for the knife, I slice them apart
Each eye I use as paint for our art
``Voyaging inside of you, I feel your soul at last
Eating the madness as I swallow your soul
``Reaching still into your inner, deepest hole
II.
``Ghastly visions of me finishing the work of heart
On the headless body I finish my forbidden art
``The image of a woman, I see, painted with blood, and carved in flesh
Here, upon you I stand, the body, so decayed, yet fresh
``Fresh like the blood of a recently killed child I laugh
On your body, now my canvas, I stand
``Red lips of blood with body of the purest flesh
Eerie noises creep around me as reality shatters, with a fallen crash
``Voyaging to the public, to show my art and canvas to the audience
Eerie noises creep inside me as reality shatters like glass
``Revealing the finally finished portrait to the audience...
