One of my hobbies is finding the most bizarre websites hidden in the deep corners of the interweb. I find really weird shit...

I'll get it soon enough, it's just a bit hard to understand to a beginer like me.

Oh, I do feel with you on this.
They tried to teach me something as simple as Java Greenfoot.. I failed.
I am quite savvy at HTML though.

You know, once upon a time in the 70's I learned how to program in Basic on a mainframe from a terminal ... and I've tinkered with a few things since but never really got into fully learning another programming language. I always thought I would like to learn how to program in C++ and Javascript, but I was told that Python is free and easier to start with. Anyone else heard that?
*edit* - Ah, I found a tutorial!

Yeah, it is. We have to learn C++ or Python on our own to complete some assignments as part of my course this year. Starts easy with things like a quadratic equation solver but finishes with using Monte Carlo methods for integration and a program to calculate the orbital path of a satellite intended to slingshot around the moon.
Almost everyone is using Python as advised by the department. Some computer science students I know recommended it too.
The Python Docs site is a very good place to look. I think there was a page of short programs somewhere, I started by going over those until I understood each line. I like using Notepad++ to type in if you're looking for a text editor, it's free.
As for my rant, I have to do the above work in about a month, as well as take two exams and finish a group project and that's on top of the usual lectures and problems.

There is one lady who doesn't swoon at the sight of me. Just one. She happens to be the one I want.

I'm interested in this lady. And I know for a fact that she's into me... but talking to her, I feel like I'm annoying/aggrivating her though she doesn't feel like I am. Should I communicate with her less or...? I've been single for 5 years and haven't had anything close to a relationship with anyone so I'm horribly out of sync for this kind of thing... suggestions? I just don't want to seem overbearing or clingy 'cause I'm not, but I do enjoy talking to her and she always generally starts our conversations.

Its probably your own anxiety, you're afraid you're going to annoy her when its more than likely not the case at all. Just relax and try not to get paranoid about what she's thinking about you, if she's annoyed she'll stop talking or tell you.

That is precisely what happens to me when I genuinely like a girl.
You know for a fact that she's into you. Don't distance yourself. If you're like me, then I know why you're asking to distance yourself. She likes you, she likes talking to you, so just go for it. Easier said than done, but it's the only solution and the best one.
If you're really worried you annoy her with your talks, when I feel like that sometimes I say something like "I'm sorry, I know this stuff is very boring". Then she tells me not to apologize, that she likes talking about these things and such. If you get that, either she's just proved you have nothing to worry about, or she likes you enough that she'll even take you when you're boring. Either way is a win for you.

You've gotten some pretty decent advice, so I'll just add that "she always generally starts our conversations" is a very genuine indicator that you've charted a pretty true course and the insecurities are internal based and not justified by anything external.
Also, the social awkwardness doesn't get better because you read the right book on the subject or get good advice from a friend. It gets better because you keep trying. Fortune favors the bold. If you try to live without risk, you risk not really living.
On an unrelated note, I just found out that I could (if I chose to) run Linux on my Nintendo DS. Did you have any thoughts about that, friend of penguins?

Fuck, 3 hours sleep and I wake up at 5.45, no alarm. This is getting annoyingly consistent.

I just got too excited and started jumping around on the couch. That would be all fine and dandy except I just fell off and hurt my knee, which was bruised to begin with from hitting it jumping off my bed.
My conclusion is I should stop jumping on things.

I've been asleep for 13 hours, and I've had some pretty crazy dreams.

I went out for a few drinks with friends and another person who is meant to be my friend turned up. They totally blanked me, I mean to the point of being so rude they didn't even say hello to me and it made me so uncomfortable that I had to leave. Now I'm sat here alone with aching feet from wearing heels that were much too high for me.
