Yum.
Which means a lot coming from me right now because food is totally uninspiring to me at the time.
we had Bertolli Sausage + Pasta from a bag tonight. Going to the store tomorrow and hoping for some flash of genius to hit.

About to have dinner, steak, yuck.
...and yet again the parental unit won't allow me to make something instead.
(I'm pretty much a vegetarian other then the fact that I enjoy seafood.)

You are in no way a vegetarian. Get that shit out of your head real quick.
Edit: Saya got to it first, but he's not even a pescatarian-he's having steak!

I thought what he was trying to say was that his desired diet is pescetarian.
Speaking of which, Pineapple, Christmas dinner, whats something really fancy I can make?

Well I usually go traditional and just make mashed potatos, gravy, some vegetables, a salad, cranberry sauce, and then I warm tofurkey slices and cover them in gravy as well. The usual stuff.
Allow me to consult The Book:
What about chickpea cutlets, eggplant and artichoke alla Napoletana, or stewed tofu and potatos in miso gravy? Any sound appealing? I'm snagging them all from Veganomicon and Vegan with a Vengeance.
When I decide to go fancy I bake a pie....

hahahaha, I got the Veganomicon the other day! I haven't made anything yet though, if you have any suggestions for a hearty meal it would be great. I think the chickpea cutlets sound good though, instead of tofurky. I don't wanna spend that much on something no one is going to be brave enough to eat.

Ohh, I didn't know you were cooking for several people. I get in the mindset of cooking for myself for stuff to bring along and set next to everyone else's food. My suggestion is go with something that has tomato sauce in it. I know it sounds weird but it's always warm and soothing and it can disguise stuff people would be afraid to eat. I suggest that Mac and Cheese thing they have in there in the TV dinner menu. it'd be a good side at least.

I would eat Tofurkey 3 times a day if I could get away with it.

Life is a shit sandwich. Unfortunately, it's always lunchtime. How much bread you have goes a long way toward determining how easy it is to swallow.
