One of the benefits of working morning shift is that I actually get to be here for the weekly concerts. The windows are open and the music is floating in ever so nicely.

The hospice at home nurse came out today to do an assessment. We will be getting two afternoons a week of help and night time help as and when needed. Doesn't sound like much but it's going to help a lot.

MC, that sounds like a lot of "that little bit of help that makes all the difference." It just might make the load possible to bear. At a time full of bad news, I've very glad to learn you've caught this break.
BTW, and I know this will go against every instinct and you will want to punish yourself with guilt, but if you can take some of those occasions to get out of the house to do something completely different and removed from the situation at home, it will do you a world of good and make you more of a benefit to your mom when you are there. You have to recharge the batteries from time to time.

I'm gonna chalk not getting that up to listening to Air Supply while I was drunk bringing down my IQ last night....

Also, someone down there likes me. I thought I was going to have a test in Math today, but the teacher emailed eveyone letting us know to come to class because she forgot to go over one last section today. A rare review in A&P Lecture and my Lab teacher got me a course ID for extra studying cuz he's awesome like that. 
Aaaaaaand Crown doesn't give me hangovers.
