Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

I'd have to admit that Slipknot is pretty good for anyone in a mindlessly angry mood. That's exactly why I considered myself a fan for a while a year or so ago.
Last time I was seriously pissed off I listened to Combichrist. I recommend it.
My Own Summer by Deftones
Fikk Dich Mit Fire by Hanzel und Gretyl
Thoughtless by Korn. Yes, Korn. This song is particularly suitable for a lot of situations.
Lots of Marilyn Manson's hate anthems
Rob Zombie
Nine Inch Nails: Broken (album), Somewhat Damaged, Burn
Pantera: Drag the Waters, um... others
Soundgarden: Slaves and Bulldozers, Mailman
Strapping Young Lad
Most metal/thrash

Narcissus - In the Absence of Compassion
or
Neurosis - Aeon
Just listening to either is a good cardio work-out for me. I'll either become too involved in the songs by the time they're done, or I'll be too exhausted to care what I was upset with in the first place. Nine times out of ten it's a combination of the two. :P

Ha-Ha, <3's Wulfy!
Actually those two and 'Ride The Lightning', I like that song.
Other Metallica songs that spring to mind are 'The Four Horsemen' and 'Whiplash'. Although the former is just fun to sing/head bang to.
Yes, every once in a great while Wolfie still head bangs. I've also slam-danced. It was fun.

I <3 you too Wolfie,
Does Wolfie do the `Toxic Waltz`... Whoah !!!
I still headbang and play the old air guitar, and when I was younger I would pratice stagediving in my room .
Does Wolfie play traditional air guitar, and air microphone (for singing) ?. Or improvised instruments (remember the cardboard guitars) .
"Bang that head that does`nt bang"

It may not be goth, but I like "Break Stuff" by Limp Bizkit.

I'm just going to list the four bands that I listen to while angry.
The Exploited
Black Flag
Subhumans
Misfits(Glenn)
Loose Nut by Black Flag is my favorite album to listen to when pissed because it's all about being fucked over,etc....Screaming along to it while driving is great fun.

Death On Two Legs by Queen, when I want to stew in my animosity, and Hellraiser by Robin Black for when I want to cool down.

when I am really PISSED OFF i put the DISCHARGE 7" "Decontrol"
on my player..."now we've been shitted far too long" says
it all if you ask me. It's Hardcore...alternatively you could
also try "I Lost My Faith" by Creaming Jesus.
Or just slam your doors and make your own soundtrack outta
it. But try the first two first

Trans-that was so bad that it flows into awesomeness.....kind of like bad pick lines.
Would toss in anything by Big Black.....HOLY JESUS do the words "open nerve endings" fit! I know at least 8 people that will never play any Big Black in their car because it made them too aggresive.
I also usually listen to Nizer Ebb's "That Total Age", noisy Swans stuff ("A Screw" is awesome cranked to 11), anything by Tractor Sex Fatality, most early NY Hardcore (Agnostic Front, the Cro-Mags, Carnivore), Throbbing Gristle, Skin Chamber, the first Head Of David CD, Wormwood (heaviest band I have ever heard in my life), Book Of Black Earth, and I WOULD listen to Teen Cthulhu, but it's been stolen.....
Aw shit....now I'm angry...

Exactly what I was thinking, love.
I personally nowadays having gotten over brooding, so I like to be cheered up most of the time. But there are a few times where I wanted to just let it all out. So many choices of songs though.

Woops, I forgot about this thread! Yeah, I agree with the problem of choice. I generally have to change the CD at least three or four times before I start to calm down.

It would be easier to just not get pissed-off.
I rarely am ever angry. I find that life is too short for such a useless emotion.
But, when I do get frustrated (about the closest emotion I get to anger) I like to listen to mellow or repetitive music.

I find that Queen Adreena's Pretty Like Drugs helps to fan my anger...
...or anything by Tori Amos helps to dampen my anger.
All depends on what I want to do with my anger.

I don't like staying angry, most of the time I just put on something calming like Lord of the Rings music and watch the anger slip away

Dimmu Borgir - Vredesbyrd
You can listen to this in any kind of mood but especially when you're pissed off.
Probably the best quitar melody in the world. Of course after Paranoid^^'

I was thinking of exactly this song. And to follow it up >.< the Nameless by Slipknot. They're rather talentless to some but I can't help but love the crazy fuks!

Yeah! Wolfie rocks! Walk by Pantera is the best song ever when I'm pissed off.
Acid Bath's first album is good for that too.

I don't actually know. It just easies it. I might not get coolled down by listening those but when I'm really angry I can't listen to anything else. But after listening to Hocico non-stoppingly I can listen to something else, too. As long as it isn't slow music.
