Aquanet

Loved by deathrockers and goths and punks alike.
I just bought my first can of it, I had no idea it was so cheap!
But I have several doubts about it that would make me think about buying it twice.
Is it bad for your hair with its alcohol content?
Does Aquanet perform experiments on animals?
I forget the other questions that passed through my mind but I'm hoping someone can answer those two for me.

There's no doubt in my mind it's bad for your hair.

If you dye your hair, I wouldn't recommend using it. Also, make sure you condition your hair at least twice a week if you use a product like that daily.

Aqua Net makes my hair um...less then healthy. I use Suave Professionals Vibrant Shine, it doesn't seem to do any damage no matter how much I use (as long as I condition my hair) it actually adds a bit of shine so it actually looks really nice and is fairly inexpensive (I think I pay like $3 for it at Target). I also believe the label says that this product is not tested on animals but I don't know about Aqua Net.

Erm, in my experiences it's not all that great a product. I don't know about your hair health, but it just doesn't work as well as other products out there. It's dirt cheap yeah, but you need more of it in my experiences. ICE is a great one, about thirteen bones a can though. However, it works amazingly. Also, Dove Damage Control shampoo and conditioner will help you a lot. I bleached the shit out of my hair and it was fine the next day using that stuff.

I do both those things, I rarely condition...my poor hair.

ICE is really great stuff so if you want to do something super amazing or there is an event or something then I would highly recommend it, but it is a tad on the pricey side and I don't have enough hair to need it so I don't bother getting it

I discovered to my delight that they still make Bristows hairspray. Supposedly you can practically get high when forming a hairdo of immense proportions. I may buy some....

I've been using Aquanet for 7 months now and my hair is still very healthy.
It's still very soft and very shiny.
My hair doesn't take cheap dye though, but that's only because I've died it so much. D:
But yeah, I also use cheap shampoo and conditioner and I've seen no damage.

Seems perfectly fine to me.
I've used it for ages nearly every other day, without always conditioning, and my hair's just as good as ever. Y'all are sissies >:P

I want to get a hold of some Imperial Leather. It's actually a soap, and used by mainly Swedish and Finnish punker to spike their hair, and it's also the name of an excellent Swedish punk band!

I am surprised that they still make that. Yea it will damage your hair if it has alcohol in it. I always used the suave styling spritz instead, worked better (will hold anything up with ease), melted out easy in the shower and didn't damage my hair, plus it didn't stink like Aqua Net (which maybe it's smell has improved since I used it last).
