Can you recommend a good movie?
I need some suggestions for this party I am having with my friends. I'm not the one throwing it.
We will not watch The Ring or The Grudge. Both sorta suck. Nothing with Zack Effron, Hilary Duff, and Lindsay Lohan please.

Anything by Mel Brooks! I especially recommend Dracula: Dead and Loving It , Robin Hood: Men in Tights, The Princess Bride as aforementioned, History of the World Part 1 & 2, Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, The Producers....
Alongside that I also recommend any Hiyao Miyazaki film, especially Princess Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle, Castle In the Sky, Nausicaa: Valley of the Wind, Spirited Away....
Steamboy was also a pretty good Steampunk anime film. Metropolis the anime was also pretty good, but the art sort of bothered me... don't know if it'd be the same for you, though.
Oh, and before I forget; unless you've seen it, Bram Stoker's Dracula is also a pretty damn good movie.

Hayao Miyazaki is my anime movie hero and Steamboy is one of my alltime favourite movies. ^.^ Thank you for your other suggestions. We've decided to watch Dracula like you suggested and we're checking out two more yet to be decided.

Ginger snaps is a great a movie...not so much as a horror but as a comedy! Oh the jokes you an crack through and about it, i'd also recommend the sequel: Ginger Snaps 2.
Rocky Horror Picture Show and/or Shock Treatment are pretty fun movies too, who doesn't love a little twised musical here or there.
Dracula was a good choice, I remember that movie, was a real pisser and so many quotable lines as well and the two last movies i'm going to suggest are are both Bette Midler ones (SCORE!!!)
The First wives Club and Hocus Pocus, both great movies, Hocus Pocus you laugh , while First Wives you laugh and feel good!
whoops! One more! Can't forget The Craft

Agreed, anything by Brooks or Miyazaki, or Tim Burton (but not the Willie Wonka turdfest)

haha that's funny I was just about to suggest ginger snaps, it wasn't that great, really cheap made movie, but it's "gothic".
Night Watch is Great! One of my favorite movies. You should watch it! It's very funny and dark.

Johnny Got His Gun, Nosferatu, & Bela Lugusi's Dracula is pretty nice to throw in there. I've been to parties that shown those movies.
Dark Shadows is awesome as well. Great TV show back in the 60's.

Eraserhead.
I don't like it, but it tends to be one of those movies that draws a crowd.
Or Ed Wood. Great movie.
