yeah.

cutting has become a "normal" behavior in some circles. it's just kinda sad when those who believe said behavior is "normal" bring it up on a whim, as though casual conversation on the subject is appropriate no matter where they go or who they're talking to.

Wanna see your blood for comfort? I'm assuming you're a girl, so hit puberty, and stare at your used tampons and pads. That's your blood, and there is alot of it.

Its not only blood though. It is tissue and other assorted red crap from the lining of your uterus. Quite ucky really. But most kids just cut for attention. Thats why all their arms and/or legs are so scared. Half of them use safety pins, or my favorite weapon of mass destruction, a wall tac. It is a dumb idea to cut.

The only suitable excuse for cutting is boredom combined with at least a hint of masochism. I may be bored and have slight masochistic tendencies, but I haven't cut myself for quite a long time. When I did, it was because I had "emotional pain" coupled with extreme boredom. It was quite exciting at first, but it got boring after a while.

Cutting with safety pins and such counts? I used to write on myself with pointy things, but I've never considered it cutting. It was entirely spawned of boredom, and had nothing to do with a need for attention (as far as I can tell). I did it for the same reason that I used to draw all over my left hand and arm.

Happily, I am no longer the same person I was then.

I hate the term "cutter." It sounds like the name of a mean shark on a kids' TV show.

Mmhmm, it does. I cut for damned reasons, but it wasn't boredom. I tried to take out what was happening on myself, which just made my lovelies worry more. Thankfully, I am over that though. >_< I hate to see how I would have turned out if I still was the same.
