Getting my week and a half long vacation next week, I'm staying out for a few days, having a birthday party, and then go home for a week to visit family and go on a hiking trip to a ghost town (hopefully, if I can figure out where the best place to start is, might have to take my dad along). I'm also hoping to take a long weekend sometime this summer and go to Gros Morne, but my friends are flakes so I'm not holding my breath.

I've never been -_-* if I had a car and knew how to drive it and was able to confidently climb a mountain by myself, I'd just go. I need more friends who do things.

I've got more school. My parents are visiting later this month. Lots of birthdays this month too but most of them are long distance so won't be partying it up =( If the animal shelter schedule works with my schedule and the position i want is avalible i will start volunteering there. Hopefully i can get our 'new' bird to like me enough that she will let me pet her on the head. I will be attempting to not burst into flames at the heat we get out here. That's about it.

I'm afraid summer for me is going to end quickly.

Or perhaps you need to make yourself capable of doing more things by yourself. (Not saying mountain climbing by yourself is a good idea, but you understand my point, right?)

I'm hoping to be spending a week on a beach 1200 miles away from here (on the east coast) in late July. (I hope there isn't oil washing up on those beaches by then.) I'll be buying the plane tickets in about a week. Now I just hope I don't land a job that says I can't go.

Hey I'm doing a lot of hiking by myself next week :P Just frustrating that everything I do is by myself because everyone likes to talk about doing things but never actually doing it.

Then you might want to look into hobby groups centered around the activities you want to do ... like hiking enthusiasts ... because there's people who talk a lot about doing things but never do many of them, and then there's the people who are too busy doing things to talk much about them.

Eh, I'd rather hike alone than follow a group of old people around in the woods -_-* I'm talking about people who actually do make the plans and then flake out. Lately more to do with their boyfriends saying they can't do it, but thats another rant.

Got it. Well, maybe the occasion will arise where you can call them on it before it happens ... kind of a preemptive hip check if you will. You know, saying something like, "Okay, but for once can we make a plan that we are all committed to and don't cancel out on after making the plans because of something lame like a boyfriend saying you can't go?"

Probably easier said than done, I know. And, as you said, that's a different kind of rant.

Summer classes and work. I need to concentrate a whole semester in summer classes to graduate in the time I want to graduate. It will be the worst summer ever but it will be worth it.

Ben, if I were a mature liberated woman, I'd want to have your babies, make you a sandwich, and even swallow right now. Then, I'd go out, buy you some beers and encourage you to go on a fishing trip with your buddies.

Well the 300 is going to be rebuilt,it's going to take a whole lot of work, hunting parts is going to be a bitch to say the least because this model has been out of production since 1999-2000,and I'm going not only for a complete restoration to factory conditions, but also some custom plastic (Black aftermarket stuff, because factory red stands out too much),Gas tank art with the rides new call sign, and a custom image to match,Might have the front and rear racks chromed, along with a few other items (it works fairly well as a rust resistant measure to exposed metal parts).

Practicing with the AR-15 and hopefully be able to do some long range target work, maybe get a few transition drills going (Either way I could use some quality trigger time).

Also this summer has been mandated as the "get back in touch with old friends and make new friends" summer. Bring on the peeps please!

I'll be working and wedding planning but it is looking like I will actually get to spend some time at the beach cottage this year, even if it is only for a couple of days, I've only been once since my mom finished renovating the first floor (used to be that you could only have a small utility room on the ground level due to flooding, now you just can't have any bedrooms so she made a nice little sitting room and opened the space up a bit) and redecorating the rest, which was a couple of years ago. It looks like we may not be able to go to Maine with Jake's family again this year, we just can't get the time off (although if he takes this new job that he has been offered then he would be able to and I do have enough vacation days if I include unpaid vacation). I'll also be going to Busch Gardens a lot since most of the people I know have year passes. I'm also trying to plan some day and/or weekend trips to things in the state like Natural Bridge or Luray Caverns, and at least one weekend camping trip since Jake has never really been camping.

Exams then jetting around the place. Ardèche, maybe Bavaria, possibly Belgium for a bit. Possibly Paris. Trying to get gigs and stuff. If I have the money, I may go down to Rimini with my Girlfriend to meet the other part of her family.

OK, I'm seeing Neil Gaiman on the 15th and then going to Boston to see The Black Keys in July. Other than that, I'm going to have random adventures with the sweetheart, hit up the open mics, and party hearty with my buddies.

A good summer is ahead of me. But Winter of next year is going to be way fucking better.
