Literature Please come visit. People get upset, write poetry about it, and post it here. Sometimes we also talk about books. |

Just a vomit of thoughts.
I will be still grateful for any suggestions about how to improve it.
I wish I could be as beautiful as cello
Or as the woman from the piercing store.
Maybe then I could see myself in a different way.
Maybe then I wouldn’t hate myself as much as
I do now.
I am a mere human being
Even if I pretend to be another thing
Stronger
One without emotions to hold her back.
Your good intentions
Dreams of a better life
Where everything is possible,
Had turned into
Hate
And Illusions of
Worthless
Self sacrifice.
You blame everyone
But not
Yourself.
All of
This
Is your mistake.
But you will never listen to me, won’t you?
You will only tell me how ungrateful I am.
And even if I was
A cello
Or the woman from the piercing store
And you were here, right
Beside me
Whispering how
Crooked
Dirty
Disgusting
I am,
Nothing
Could have been better.
One sunny day I will be
Gone.
So don’t worry.
You will never see my ugly face again.

No, I just enjoy being depressed.
And now seriously, even if you do care for some stranger who has been abused by someone for years, there's nothing you can do about it if you hadn't experienced it yourself.
And I'm not as melodramatical as I may sound.
I will (hopefuly) learn how to live with this, since I don't have another choice.

Thank you. Though I don't agree with you, that's encouraging to hear this.

Depression is losing enjoyment in activities that one normally enjoys, or extreme bouts of sadness. What is enjoyable about losing enjoyment?

And being cynical keeps me smiling from time to time.

Clinical descriptions usually suffice in a sterile environment ... but I often enjoy feeling sad, or depressed ... it's like that old line, "you bleed just to know you're alive!" ... ga ga goo goo

It's in any environment. I simply don't see how one can enjoy a feeling that constitutes negative. What is enjoyable about being unable to find enjoyment? I am genuinely curious. I'm not trying to be sarcastic.

Well, I was cynical about this.
I wouldn't write anything about feelings I don't have.
I saw this question as a quite stupid one so I answered sarcasticlly.
Maybe it was unjustified and rude, but I didn't say it was justified or right.

I understanding writing based on feelings you have, and I understand why you'd feel cynical. My curiosity wasn't based on that. My curiosity was centered on why you would say you enjoy being depressed. I can see that beauty will emerge from certain people's depressions, but I don't see why you would or would say you enjoy it.

This has emotion, but it does kind of violate the "show, don't tell" rule.

I think that it's more my way to set free my emotions and thoughts than poetry.
