(Re) introduction

Well, here I am again.

It's been a while...

I'm shad or phant...maybeI usually show up every year or two to hurl abuse and deride the poor denizens of gnet, but it seems that since my last exhumation the poor old forum has flagged a bit, and my normal abuses would be a bit too much like kicking a stray dog.

So a respite my lovlies.

I'm a bitter old goth from back in the olden days.

Just know, that I savagely despise every last gods forsaken one of you. Or I love you, I can't remember which, I do muddle those so easily.

In any case it would be nice to see some life trickle back into the old gnet, at least then I would have more sport trying to throttle the life back out of it.

Take care my little bats, mother will be back to check on you all soon...

Do you like reading, Shad? I happen to possess a text that is in desperate need of bitter deriding, and since that's your specialty...

Or did you already die, too?

Heh, still living my dear.

I'm always happy to read people's work.

What genre?

I'm pleased to tears that you yet live.

I'm not really good at identifying genres. I pompously call my baseline occult-gothic and it branches out from there...

Which genres do you prefer?

I read all sorts. I read a lot of publisher prerelease and author''s proofs for editorial and review purposes as a "hobby" so I get all genres on my doorstep.

I prefer fantasy (of any sort) so occult goth will do just fine.

Send me your scribblings and I will read through them.

You sound too perfect for this. I must assume you're lying for some reason.

Now how do I send you anything?

Well,

It's not utterly dreadful old chap.

You have made an interesting world, one I wouldn't mind knowing more about.
Characters are ok. Writing style is overall pretty good.

You have some issues with over explanation, and repetition. But some tweaking will sort that.

I can do a full editorial if you like but I would need it in paper because I am old fashioned that way.

What is your goal for this story? Are you planning on expanding it to a novel? Looking to physically publish?

Everything you said was just pure music to my ears.

Physical publication is my ultimate dream. But I am just a mook and I don't think they let mooks publish anything.

I'm going to send you a rambling e-mail soon, I think.

As you wish.

Your story has merit, but needs a lot of work, but it is workable. If you approach any publishers, go for teen fiction as your genre, as it fits nicely. I'm happy to critique and provide light editing when I have time.

I'm fine with rambling emails.
