To Lady Sorrow

Dear Lady Sorrow,

I extend a humble apology for being rather shitty to you. I said a couple of rather mean things to you. I don't really think you're boring, and you're really not all that annoying.

You seem like a genuinely nice person and you don't deserve to be treated that way. I'm sorry for having been so far up my own ass.

Eh, sometimes I get carried away, and was overly flippant and shitty to some one who had only been kind to me. And on the one hand, I do understand that its the internet and every one tends to be a little more abrasive and such, but that's not true to who I am.

So I offer apologies, and remember to treat people like.. uh... people.. yeah.

Nah, she was probably spouting stupid bullshit. You can be kind and polite all you want, but stupid bullshit deserves to be treated as such. You weren't out of line at all from what I've seen. If this is all based on what I think it's based off of.

I'm only going by the witchcraft thread. Honestly, Lady Sorrow isn't really worth following around or paying much attention to otherwise.

Ah no, I wouldn't apologize for being logical on the witchcraft thread... I always enjoy hashing out the non existence of the supernatural.

I called her boring and annoying on other threads....... what can I say? I'm a total softie.

..But she IS boring and annoying in other threads. That's why I generally ignore her. Apologize if you must, but I'll go ahead and carry that torch.

Lady Sorrow is boring and annoying.

I'm rather ambivalent about that statement, "Do what thou wilt". Though the statement is pretty damned sage, it's used by total dweebs who are complete crunchy granola hippie pussies.

Yes, yes it has. However, granola hippie pussies usually put "ye harm none" before that... then babble on about the law of three blah blah blah ... then karma blah blah blah... till one wants to beat one's own head against the wall until one is senseless.

Exactly. Those bitches TOTALLY undermine the statement of "Do as thou wilt shall be the whole of the law." Attaching bullshit footnotes to it is doing the OPPOSITE of what it's saying and implying that even though you're hedonistic, be sure to consider others FIRST.

Bah. I'm not going to get started with that bullshit. I'm just going to say that in general, I find Paganism and any derivative of it to be down right stupid and deserves LESS consideration than other faiths.

It's insane enough to believe there's an all knowing daddy in the sky that loves to send you to hell, it's even MORE INSANE to believe in fairies, polytheism, and magic.

Yeah... it is.... I used to be one... that's why I do my best to argue against the supernatural in general.

Its rather comforting to believe in magical powers and it can make one feel really important.

The sad part is when one finally wakes up and realizes that magic isn't real... no one has special powers.. and that if one wants something done right.. one must do it one's self.

To be honest, I'm from the same mold as you in those regards. I USED to believe in that shit. But then I grew up.

Yeah.. breaking the mold of magical thinking, isn't easy.. it is certainly a process. I had to be open minded enough to listen to the arguments against such things, and then, be willing to give up years and years that I had invested in paganism, witchcraft and the occult.

I was so mad that I had wasted so much time on unreal things, when I could have been learning something that was actually useful.
