A Gothic Christmas??
I know it's Spring and all, but it just kinda hit me.
What do you guys think about G.netters getting other G.netters gifts for the holidays? Nothing huge, just something interesting that I'm sure most of our family members would never think to get us.
What do you guys think of this and would anyone have any ideas on how to pull it off? Or would this be a bit too personal for you guys?

Aww... that's cute. I'd do it - don't know about anyone else here, but... Well, I'm hesitant about posting my mailing adress online; so I guess we would have to find some means of doing that securely. Then I guess we would have to talk to the ones we want to exchange gifts with (or something like that). I don't know... but it shouldn't be impossible to do. (And finally something else than ugly socks for Yule...)

If there was a way it could be pulled off I'd be all for it.
Here's what I'd get you Kontan (if I could afford it)

Well, my idea was that we chose one member and the two members would get them something for each other.
Also, there's a lot of people on this board.
I figured that once someone got a name, then they would exchange email addresses and talk "bidness" via email. That way, things are more secure.

That would be a good idea actually.
The only other thing I could think of would be some online gift registry and I don’t think any of the gothic stores online (that I know of) have those.

I've got that actually, in the black denim version. Holy shit, I never thought about but that guy is wearing that tail coat properly. 0_0
Amazing. I always had a hard time figuring out how to wear it. But damn, I love brocade.
Im not sure who I'd shop for and honestly, I don't think gift wrapping would be all that big of a deal unless it is. Hell, I used to get care packages from family in a brown box and it felt just like Christmas. What's more industrial than a brown box?

I’m still working on a better solution but in the mean time I did find a good registry called WishBin. All you do is insert the URL where your gift is located then share your list.
http://www.wishbin.com
I'm not done with mine yet but to get a example of what a list looks like...

That's a pretty neat idead...like Minyaliel though, I'm reluctant to post my address or even name on the internet. My name is rather uncommon, which makes me quite easy to find, as when it is typed into google, you find quite a few relevant findings.

You can't see a address when you are buying somebody a gift. That's why I thought wishbin was a decent idea for now anyway....

I think it's a good idea, though I don't know how we will organize ourselves in order to make this whole thing work. Either way, count me in.

Forgive me for resurrecting this thread. It just hit me that maybe now would be a good time to bring Kontan's idea since x-mas is coming close.
Anybody wanna give it a shot this time? I know I am for this.

Yeah, but my current budget for presents right now goes to right about $1.43 after I bought an overpriced S&M pirate costume from Spencer's for my girlfriend. xP

I think I'll probably be buying truffle-chocolate-coated espresso beans for everyone I know. Again. And I've yet to meet a goth who'd object to those.
Correction, I've yet to meet a human - other than my sister - who'd object to those. Maybe I'll just keep them all to myself instead of giving them away...

This sounds really great!
I'd definitely do it. There are quite a few people I wouldn't mind doing some Christmas shopping for on G.net, so yeah, I'm all for it Kontan.

Considering how the winter solstace is natural event. I use it instead. (And considering how many 'xman' traditions are STOLEN from abrigonal european religions, it also allows for gift giving.

Ooh ooh ooh I call L'Oiseau Noir. Speaking of which should we have a price limit seeing as how for example the teenagers like myself might consider triple digits out of the question.

I'll settle for a box of Belgium chocolate, and some Earl Grey Tea, dear. <3
