straightening your hair
So today I went to a hair stylist to straighten my hair and the bitch charged me a hundred and fifty dollars!!
What a rip off! My hair looks bad ass though...

$150 for a look you love? That is not a rip-off! Beauty costs!
That's about what I pay to get my hair done. I get my hair cut, colored, blowdried, & straightened. The result is that my normally Cousin It-ish hair looks smooth & sleek, and that lasts about four days if I don't wash it for that period of time.
The most expensive salon I ever visited charged me $360, and it was worth every penny. She gave me the precise shade of red I wanted, and layered it in such a way that it made my back look thinner from behind. She used two long straight-razors insead of scissors, and chopped away at my head using both hands at once a la Edward Scissorhands. I couldn't believe it when I saw how good I looked, especially from behind, the hair was layered, and came to a v down my back. Every other, less expensive, stylist I've tried to explain this to gives me something which comes out looking like a U and that makes my back look kind of thick

Nothing straightens my hair! I have it short now because it was too much of a pain to look after long. But I miss having all my hair, I think I might grow it again and fuckit - if I look like a muppet, so be it!

Hey if it looks good don't complain. She could have charged you the same amount and given you a free 4 inch trim and layers to go with it.

I dye my own hair and got it cut beautifully at Hair Cuttery for like $15 a few months ago.

GOD LORD! DID YOU GET SOME FREE SEX WITH THAT?! Wow. Seriously! Have you always gone to that particular stylist? Perhaps before you do it again you should shop around a bit.
BTW, at the risk of seeming totally un-hip ..(hey, I don't play with my hair. Seriously! I only go to the hair dressers once a year to trim dead ends & I do my own dye jobs.) You can get your hair straightened? Like, a perm, only in reverse? How long does it usually last? What's the basic info a girl would need before getting it done?

$150 seems reasonable for hair straightening. Some places charge up to $400.

Buy a GHD straightener for that much and do it yourself for the rest of your life. Or borrow your housemate/sister's for free like I do, haha.
I've been to a hair stylist once in the last year and that was to get a whole 2 feet or so hacked off. Sure, it looked great, but ever since I started with the deathhawk my only stylists are my boyfriend and myself. For free. And I like my hair more and get more compliments on it than ever before.

Last time I went to a hair salon the woman refused to cut and style it because she liked it too much, so she trimmed it. Anyway I got charged $100 for an all over dye and straightening. It looked awesome.

Dude, unless that hair straightening lasts a few weeks with regular showering, or you got some incredible sex to go with it, then you got ripped off.

As my hair is straighter than God (assumptions) and it doesn't stay curled for longer than ten minutes regardless of what I do to it, I am under the impression that it is more difficult for me. Stop bitching.
