Looks like the FBI has too much time to burn if they're going into Vegan Potlucks. Did they get a tip about them making Punji traps out of carrot sticks or something?
The IT Crowd is worth watching if you want some good fashion jokes about the internet/computer problems. At one point they convince an entire audience at a business conference that the internet is completely encased in a small box that was hand-delivered to them from the Eldars of the Internet.
Geo, on the bright side you won't be bored!
I'm about to go off to a class and then pound out my assignment about the atrocities of the Baader Meinhof (Red Army Faction). Should prove to be quite a day.

Yeah they are, I wish I wasn't so OCD so I could take one without having to scrub the tub first.

I rinse it out and get a super quick shower first, plus using candles instead of the electric light makes it harder to notice any speck of dirt.

My stepdad thought it would be a good idea to replace our already-small tub with a whirlpool, so now it's REALLY tiny.
Regardless.. I took a nice cool bath and read American Gods. It was lovely.

When I was little my aunt had a huge whirlpool tub, and lots of times when my mom and dad wanted a night away from the kids we'd stay with her. I was afraid of the jets and thought I could get sucked into them, so what my aunt would do was put me in the tub, wait until I've got my guard down, then flip the switch that turned the jets on. I'd start screaming, and she'd laugh and turn it off again. And I never fucking learned not to take a bath there.
Can't read in the tub either, I'd be afraid I'd drop it or otherwise get the book wet. What I did was turn the lights off and run a speaker from my computer into the bathroom, and turned on The Cure, Bjork, Bat For Lashes and Apocalyptica. Twas the awesomest bath evar ^_^

I only read in certain types of tubs, my place now has a soaking tub so there is a place on each side for your arms and the end is slanted for you to sit up relatively straight so it is perfect for reading.

Our whirlpool is a soaking tub, which makes reading in it so easy. I love tub-reading. XD

Oh my F! Thank you mate, that description just helped me tons, I have been looking for the name of that show forever :D I have been googling every possible phrase I could think of, from "IT geek" to simply "nerd"
I just started a 3-year educational course to finally advance my career as a graphic designer. After I am done here, I hope to go to England for a while to stay, and to wrap my education up so I can start remaking the world of design :D

I spent the night stocking KY lubricants, condoms, enemas, gauze pads, and air fresheners. I'm thinking those five should be on the "buy at the same time to get weird looks from cashier" list.

Man, I love working in maintenance. Get up at 7 get there at 8. Have a couple of beers with the lads. See what's on the agenda. Stretch the days agenda out so it neatly fills from 8 to 5.
Start doing stuff. Then get lunch around 12ish, have a few more beers around 1ish. Then go and do the rest of the agenda 'til 5.

I suddenly have acquired an unwavering craving for the cheesecake I consumed at the buffet of the hotel I stayed in a few weeks ago.

Damn, I don't think I can go to Job Corps, seeing as most of the places state you have to be from a low income family, and stuff like that...

If any of you have access to BBC Radio 3, check out their live transmissions of BBC Proms 2009. Just got done listening to this - Antonín Dvořák (1841–1904) Symphony No. 7 in D minor, Op. 70 (1884–5) - and no amount of superlatives can do justice to this piece.
I'm also pissed because I'd have seen it live if it wasn't for the long walk earlier that left me too tired to go.

I have to go transfer about £500 from Account A into Account B, so that I can go to a estate agent later today and give them £500 from Account B as a holding deposit on a new place.
The new place, for about £275/month, will give me a double bedroom, a tube station about 5-10 minutes walk from the front door, a large living room for parties and gatherings, only two housemates instead of three, and both those housemates have loads of interests in common with me so I'm not ending up isolated despite living with other people.
The rent's barely more than I pay here, only about £25 or £50 more per month. And I will *more* than save that on my travel each month. Getting to the Gent's at the weekend will now cost only about £16 return instead of £25 each weekend, my travel into central London will be a £5.80 travelcard instead of an £8.60 off-peak day return or up to £17 anytime return.
The bills will be higher, I know, but I keep applying to jobs and I'm sure I'll get one soon so I can actually pay bills and things. If I got a basic secretarial job on £15k, I'd be able to pay rent and bills and have enough money left over to be social, eat well, *and* save up a little bit each month.
