Flippant remark costs worthless bag of shit half a decade.

Occasionally, ever so often, once in a while, a piece of shit like this lady gets what's due.

More the misuse of it than it itself.

I just don't understand why people insist on trying to drive if they want to get drunk. If you're gonna get drunk, then don't get behind the wheel of a flippin' car!

But then that would require using some common sense, I seen very few people able to do such a thing sober let alone after a few drinks.

As for this woman, she got exactly what she deserved.

True, and agreed.

Actually, I think they should just put her in a locked room with the family for a couple of hours. I think that would be a more justifiable punishment. *shrug*

Um. No she didn't.
A man is DEAD. She just has to go to prison. I'm not saying she should be killed, as I don't believe in the death sentence, but she definitely did not get what she deserved.

She got what she deserved as far as the law goes is what I meant. Legally there isn't much more that could have been done to her.
The fact is there is nothing at all that can be done to her that would make up for what she did, any amount of time in prison never really feels like justice has been done while a death penalty always seems a step too far. There is no such thing as justice and vengence is never a good thing, so what do you do?

I say hire a parade of gay French bicyclists, and have them ride over her with their bikes, plus, the 10 year jail sentence. She'd probably survive, and she would get just what she deserves.

While I believe she certainly deserves to be jailed for longer than four years, I don't think it's appropriate to alter someone's sentence based on a overheard conversation of that nature. For one, she was probably scared of going to jail for years, oftentimes that sort of fear manifests as misdirected blame and dismissive humor. For two, I'm not sure that I support whatever practice allowed her phone call to be tapped and recorded.

I take back what I said about justice not existing.

Her and the guy who made the remark. That'd be about square.

The way that a sentence like hers is usually determined is based on how the judges feels about the defendant and people who show true remorse for what they have done tend to get the minimum where as people who seem not to be sorry about their crime tend to get longer sentences. The conversation was not used in her case to prove that she did it but it showed that the remorse she showed in court was just a show and that she truly was not sorry for her actions

Less accidents are caused by drink drivers than are caused by people who are just douches.

Not to say that drink driving is a good thing.

I'm in favor of the frenchmen bike trampling idea. Or kill her. Both work.
