I was almost run over by a squirrel on Wednesday...
no, I didn't type that wrong, I was indeed almost run over by a squirrel...they get insanely bold up at the College...
I'm sitting there on the grass sketching this dude on a bench (who's probably sitting there thinking "wtf, why does this chick keep staring at me?") and all of a sudden this squirrel comes barreling down a tree, makes a mad dash across the lawn, and skids to a stop about a foot in front of me. It looks at me in a very "wtf, that's not a tree!" fashion, chitters ala your stereotypical indignant squirrel, and races around me and up the tree on the other side of the lawn, leaving me to stare at the spot a foot in front of me that was, only seconds previously, inhabited by an indignant grey fluffball, and simultaneously think, "WTF?" and "Fluffy!"

The other day my girlfriend and I are standing outside the auto repair garage, when the black woman drivng by slams on the brakes and keeps yelling at my GF "Hey, Regina. over here!" Now my GF's name is not Regina, she doesn't happen to have any black women as friends and didn't know who the hell this woman was. And no matter how much we moved around the side of the building trying to ignore her, she just keeps going "Regina, I know you see me!"

That reminds me of this time I got a a call from a person who referred to themselves as "Sex" who was asking for a girl named Charlie...I picked up the phone to tell them they had the wrong number (I screen calls with my answering machine, it's a good way to not have to talk to people) and they went into this long rant about how I shouldn't tell them they had the wrong number, because Lex was going to be very angry with me. I hung up and they called again and were all, "Damnit Charlie! Girl, you just picked up, if you don't pick up this goddamned phone again Charlie, Lex is gonna kill you and me both! Me, Sex will be gone, You, Charlie will be gone, and no one will give a fuck 'cause Lex'll be happy!"
wtf? Especially considering the fact that my answering machine quite clearly states that I am not this "Charlie" character...just, wtf?
